    I've heard a lot of negative comments about Cesar's method. But I have a 3 month Pomeranian puppy, and in the last couple of days he started behaving badly, wanting to bite me and bite other stuff. Today, he was getting out of control. So, he was biting my shoes, and I applied the "tsch", pinching his neck and he stopped, and then continued, and then I did it again, and the same, and I did it a third time, and this time I pinched harder, and it cried a bit, and after that, he stayed quiet and obeying! I seriously can't believe it. After like 10 mins he tried to do it again, and I just said the "tsch" with no pinching, and he stopped, and then I gave it a toy and it started calmly biting the toy and respecting me! This guy knows his stuff.

    I used this on my now, 33yr old, 31, 22yr old and 17 yr old and it sure did work. I didn't have to speak much, one tsch and my kids listened. They laugh about it now, but it sure is a way of disciplining kids.

    That’s so true about the sound. My mom did that to my siblings and I when we were very little. It’s like an intuitive reaction of a person when a kid or dog is misbehaving and that sound is used to address it. I see people at dog parks here in U.S using the “Tsssch” and I chuckle because I know they got that from watching Cesar. Hey but whatever works.

    One thing that amazed me as I grew older is just how many people do not have much calm assertive energy. As I grew even older I began to notice that the people I should trust the least are people who do not have calm assertive energy. They tend to be more untrustworthy, more resentful, more bitter, more likely to latch onto an obvious good cause and act like they're moral having noticed the obvious, etc.
    When I learned to cut out of my life people who are... weak? Have a lot of negative emotion? Well, life got better. My circle of friends and family became happier. More active and more peaceful... yet with the ability to turn it up to 10 confidently if anyone threatened the group.

    • @Shanethefilmmaker
      @Shanethefilmmaker Před rokem +1

      In the case of cats. Contrary to popular belief Cat's don't communicate with each other by meowing. They communicate with other sounds both positive and negative. That "Tsch" thing, to a cat is similar to that of a mom cat disciplining their kitten with hissing. Needless to say, your cat knew who the parent was.

    Still working on desensitizing my border collie from attacking the snow shovel. I've used this. As well as the neck touch. While it snaps him out of it for a second, he goes right back to the heightened state of mind. So anyone on here who has training advice feel free to comment.

    • @abidedogtraining2675
      @abidedogtraining2675 Před 8 lety +2

      +Anna Stoner I'm guessing this is while it is in use? If so, start out slow with your dog on the leash. Make the scraping noise with the shovel with small motions across the ground. If the dog attacks, correct the behavior by making a verbal correction and by pulling up on the leash forcing the dog to sit. Repeat this process until the dog gets disinterested in the shovel. If you find this is not working after 2-3 full sessions try walking the dog while holding the shovel. Keep moving no matter what. Keep the focus of the dog on the walk. Intermittently drag the shovel behind you on the ground creating the scraping noise. Again when/if the dog attacks a, verbal correction, simple pop of the leash (not too hard), all while maintaining the walk. If the dog appears interested in the shovel noise and looks back but then ignores the shovel and maintains the walk be sure to give verbal praise with a quick YES. I wish you the best in your training and be sure to stay consistent with you smart collie.

    • @StonerVolk
      @StonerVolk Před 8 lety

      +Abide Dog Training yes it's while it's in use and I've talked to my dad about helping with the training him via leash, thanks so much for the help but I do have one issue. He's a collie and when we walk him he runs off Leash in a park after a ball, so I'm still in the process of training him to be good on a leash since he's not usually on one when on a run, so any advice on teaching him to not pull ? I'm holding the leash short like Cesar as well as higher on the neck as he shows in his show. It's quite frustrating because my dogs the runt so I think that contributes to him being overly hyper. Which makes it hard to train. He's smart though. Learned speak in about 3 hours time so hopefully I can work more with him so that I can shovel with him outside. Because even when inside he will bark and lick the window.

    • @Primalxbeast
      @Primalxbeast Před 8 lety +1

      +Anna Stoner Move to Florida. I don't think you can even buy a snow shovel here. Border collies are one of my favorite dogs, but I wouldn't have one since being such intelligent working dogs, it's challenging to give them enough to do to keep them from getting bored and having behavior problems.
