  • Anno 2205 is quite different from the previous installments and has some funky mechanics which are not very well explained. This video contains five tips which are aimed at making you aware of those mechanics, and thus improve your play. Hope it's useful!

    I don't even know why I'm watching this, I'm currently playing 2205 and I've completed it several times, yet, I've started a new game, so I'm currently waiting for my dam project to finish, and decided to watch some videos. That being said... I like your tutorial. Very nicely explained.

    It is probably to late, but 4YI: the "Slow down" helps a lot in veteran difficulty. It gives you more time to react if a military intervention that blocks your tradeline draws your attantion away from the struggeling income balance.
    Remember: You lose the game if you have no money on the bank (vetran)

    It is December 22nd 2021 and I just got this game on Steam for a great price. Thanks for your good explanations; you got right to the point without and ranting and raving and superfluous stuff. Nicely done!

    Infodrome sort of has an radius zone, it is more efficient when it's closer to residences and complexes.

  • @02091992able
    @02091992able Před rokem

    Service buildings work like logistics farther away the residence is from the source of the service the more they use. So, it's ideal to build them in the center of a group of residences in a city for the best bang for your buck. This can be difficult for things like the metro stations and stadiums as they take up allot of space.

    The information part is incorrect. It works exactly the same as logistics. The closer they are, the more information they get.

      +Oli Cansdale You're right! Thought I updated this but apparently only updated the forum topic, thanks for the reminder. Made an annotation that they indeed don't have a radius, but that houses use the information etc. the same way as logistics.
      Cheers!

    I pulled up 2205 from my Steam library just this morning since I last played it a bazillion years ago (lol). I don't remember it at all. I decided the little housing units were only going to be used to fill in the tiny gaps between things especially along mountain sides and the like where, yes, technically I could put a large complex, but it would cause me to build a jagged road in around the whole area.
    I was looking at the various buildings and previewing them to see "radius", that sort of thing. The astronaut training center seems to have a huge circle. Is that an area of effect OR do not build other things there? lol

    Some great tips here, and in the other video. I tried a few such as the finance calculator (I knew about the modules) but the moon really is a killer - my game always comes undone when I go there. The trade routes and the factories absolutely ruin you.
    Question: does underprovision of consumer goods cause loss of workforce? If not, what does? Loss of productivity/subsequent loss of income/revenue always seems to get me too, moon or not.

    • @WaervynsWorld
      @WaervynsWorld  Před 8 lety +1

      +Ibrox Noise Thanks! As far as I know,if you don't have enough goods for a certain class of people, they will 'degrade' to the class for which there is enough stuff.

    • @ibroxnoise8301
      @ibroxnoise8301 Před 8 lety +1

      +Waervyn's World Ah, that makes sense, thanks! So, any tips for surviving one's trip to the moon? I REALLY want to get to 'investors' but I'm miles off that. How much turnover/credit balance do I really need before I even start on my moon colony? I tried with about 12K credit thinking I was better prepared than the last failure but it crumbled to pieces again.

    • @WaervynsWorld
      @WaervynsWorld  Před 8 lety +1

      I normally go there and build stuff when I have about 100k or so (on the hardest setting). I would recommend really focusing on the temperate zone first though (and maybe importing some moon stuff from the global market).

    • @ibroxnoise8301
      @ibroxnoise8301 Před 8 lety +2

      100K as in the upperleft balance or the middle most one which defines how much the upperleft goes up? One's balance and one's income level, right? You're meaning which one? Because I assume 100K balance would be nowhere near enough for the moon. PS I play on easy ha! And I'm struggling at THAT level! This is the first builder/strategy/management game I've really played.

    • @WaervynsWorld
      @WaervynsWorld  Před 8 lety +2

      Income level :)
      I also started on easy, but quickly found it a bit 'boring'. In hard all my decisions at the beginning mattered quite a bit, and I started paying more attention to the game which I enjoyed.
      But yeah, make sure you basically build up lots and lots of temperate stuff before diving into moon stuff, and remember you can import quite cheaply from the global market at first :)

    • @WaervynsWorld
      @WaervynsWorld  Před 8 lety +3

      +Al Sinleth I'd suggest first watching my other video called '5 tips to make more money'. It gives some tips on how to not waste money! Biggest tip, focus on temperate zones before you start on other zones. I normally only start building in other zones when my balance is about +20000 again.

    • @KastyelSinleth

      Thanks helped me out until.. I get togo to the moon, my credit balance was +80k then after building some stuff on the moon ie; solar panels, titanium mine and the ice mine my credit balance went straight down to -3k.. Help???

    • @WaervynsWorld
      @WaervynsWorld  Před 8 lety +1

      LunarTik KiteJaw Make sure you build calculator units on the solar panels. Furthermore, the moon costs a lot a lot a lot of money, so build up lots and lots of reserves in your temperate zone.

    • @AllSoloScarlett
      @AllSoloScarlett Před 8 lety +1

      +Waervyn's World So if i remove all the structures on the moon, and continued to develope my population then afterwards go back and start on the moon, would this work?

    • @WaervynsWorld
      @WaervynsWorld  Před 8 lety +1

      Yeah definitely. You can actually import a lot of stuff that the moon produces from the global market which will save you some money early on while still being able to upgrade your temperate people :)
