Tip 11 - You can hold exhibition matches for both the Legate and Magistrate, where you put your gladiators into two teams and they fight each other until one team is left. Pros is that the defeated gladiators surrender instead of dying, you get favour, gold, and some slaves for holding the match, and your gladiators get combat experience. The only con is that you'll have a lot of injured gladiators that are unhappy if they lost.
Sacerdos is a great starting employee, not very costly and most of his stuff you can research before the first fight for a good bonus, ie blessing of mars, venus, apollo, etc....
This is a good list and a good video for beginners. Hats off to you. The only thing I'd say is that AI kind of trains itself through fighting, so I don't usually sweat training Meditate all that much. If it's at 0, then sure. Once it's in double digits (though I might wait until around 25), I often just stop specifically training it.
I feel like there's a missing mechanic to expand the ludus so you can add more employees... some employees, when fired, take with them all of their benefits, perhaps it's strategy?
Thanks man. I found the game very amusing, but i'm starting now and i felt a little overhelmed and wanted to get the best of the game from the beginning. Now i can. Cheers!
I accidentally killed a boss trying to end my endless run that was fun. One shot all the lions found my guys dead with the boss and two guys left tanked them down over a minute or two lots of blocking then I go back to getting my ass kicked, and once my best guy is dead because the others died against the boss I was left with nothing to compete with as enemies are over levelled rip I’m good and bad at the same time.
BRO WHY CANT THIS GAME EXPLAIN THE DAM CONTROLS I WAS HITTING MY CHARACTERS FOR HOURS TELLING THEM TO TRAIN WTF I JUST NEEDED TO RIGHT CLICK OR AUTO TRAIN OOHHMYYGOOOODDD
you can move the paulus, stones etc too, not only the gladiators

^ this is actually incredibly OP, just make sure you have a medicus or sacrados or something for the healing
I tried to play this game before and couldn't understand anything. This video helped me a lot! Way better than the tutorial lol. Thanks!
I literally started playing this after ES2 and came back to your channel from your steamguide lol
Very helpful, played for 5 hours when I bought it yesterday and never realised you could rearrange your gladiators. Thanks
first tip should be how to pause, other than that thank you!

god this game didnt teach me how to do anything at all, Found it through being recommended its music oddly enough
i bet it makes slaves train harder if you free the gladiators that do really well
Not sure about that, but it boosts morale.
I NEVER WIN, my gladiatores die, i was playing on eazy mode. The IA plays better than i. I cant win.
