I graduated in May with a degree in Japanese (and 2nd degree in psychology - I've been studying Japanese language and culture for over 4 years now, and unfortunately, I haven't had the chance of visiting Japan yet.
The toilets in Japan are really something, and I understand your fascination with them - technology in Japan is quite high tech, even the toilets there. I haven't seen anything like it in the United States either. I love japanese culture, and it's a rather environment friendly country as well - they believe in harmony with nature

I thought they believed in harmony in nature too, until I found out about the whaling industry...I'm sure it's not all japan, but still it's despicable.
beabaila13 That bit about the whaling industry is horrible. Historically, they've always been a fishing nation (rather than an agriculture one) as Japan is technically an island. They've been facing criticism about it for years now, and hopefully one day whaling will be illegal. In the grand overall picture of things, however, they are harmonious with nature - as opposed to the west where it's always been more 'conquer nature'. They're not perfect - but they are typically more environment friendly than other countries in the world. Japanese literature and culture is filled with many references to nature. Also, their level of recycling would give anyone a culture shock

I'm so glad you mentioned the toilets in Japan! I recently went to Tokyo on a university trip and was trapped in the public toilets when I used them for the first time, because there were millions of buttons for fountains, music, and even fake flushing sounds! I was stuck because I could make the toilet sound like it was flushing, but not actually flush! Turned out the handle was tiny and tucked away behind the buttons, but only after about 20 minutes of me panicking! Europe and the UK don't have anything like it either, though I wish we did!

Yes!! their mascara is actually my favourite mascara ever. I used to love Dr.hauschka volume mascara. But now I'm pretty faithful to the red apple lipstick one hehe :)
I enjoyed watching your video!! Love the stuff you picked you out. I have also been to Japan and was amazed by their toilets (how they have options for heating and music of birds or river). I definitely wish they had those in more places! It was my first video and I will definitely be watching your other videos.

I would go with the orange notebook. (And I say this as a notebook addict with at least...oh gosh probably 75 to 100 of them in my storage). Reason being the mix of simplicity and bright colours.Orange is going to attract a higher energy and inspiration and you'll be more likely to want to grab it and use it if it gives off that energy to you.

I've also been to Japan and I agree with everything you said! I was with a host family and they were the nicest people I've met in my life. They thought it was funny that I took pictures of the toilet but it was so awesome!

I congradulate your great effort on sharing valuable information on your lifestyle and good habits through your videos, and actually been wondering if you put up together all the recording, and editing on your videos or you have a team behind the great videos you make??? Awww thank you so much!!! I do everything 100% by myself with my videos :) I think I would be too nervous in front of the camera if someone else was filming hehe, I once tried to get my friend to record me and I couldn't speak properly cause I was too nervous. And editing is definitely my favourite part of making a video! :)

I actually have a couple of videos on some recipies like three or 4 i think LOL but I´m lazy with the editing so I just do easy spontaneous videos, I think my tuna salad video you can activate the subtitles, and the sanmsung galaxy video because i speak in spanish in my video but i think you wouldn´t like tuna salad since you are vegan. Anyway, actually I´m watching a youtuber explaining life in Canada as an inmigrant, and I´ve been feeling myself with info about Canada since I would love to try a live there for a period of time. I remembered you mention you are from Canada. Did you have a white snowy Christmas? Because mine was barely 20 degrees C. Christmas here can sometimes be like your autumns there, right?
What colour is on your lips?? I loved these favorites!!! I really want wooden utensils instead of metal utensils. Have you read "In Praise of Shadows"? It is a short essay book on Japanese esthetics/traditions. It is extremely fascinating and I highly recommend it :) There is a particular part about why they have paper lights and wooden utensils that you reminded me of :) :)
