    OK, but .. A key process of glueing base rails to roof was totally ignored

      Was thinking a heavy winds. Is it going to blow off

      Is it glued? I definitely would not perforate the roof because water would leak in.

      I don't think that it was glued. It uses just it's own weight

      Watched the video purely to see how he glued it down, amazed this was ignored.

    You're a genius, thank you for sharing. I have a flat roof best video tutorial.

    Isn't it supposed to be mounted at an angle?

    At 8:09, you mention earthing and loading of the base rails. Could you make another video to show how that works or walk through the manual about the process?

    What is your output from how many watt solar panels pitched at zero degrees?

    How do you maintain the membrane with this installation? In South Africa it needs to be done at least every 3 years..

    From what business/manufacturer did you buy the mounting rails?

    So being that the panels are flat rather than at an angle, they get sun east to west, rather than just where they are pointing.

    How did you mount the panels to the roof? Did you have to penetrate the membrane? I have a similar setup and would love to do something similar. How can I contact you?

      The schletter structure is weighted as described in the installation manual of the product. the membrane is not perforated. You can see in the video that the base rails are placed on the soft blocks. ok ?

      know impact thanks. How much weight would you say that the total system with ballast is? Can you recommend a supplier?

    • @TheSplayMan
      @TheSplayMan Před 3 lety +6

      @@knowimpact3616 surely its not just using weight to stay on the roof?
      Is there adhesive on both sides of the rail protector?
      If so, it would need to be pretty strong to handle storm winds getting under the panels. I'm not sure if have the confidence in it.

      Great video, but how do you secure it to the roof? I dont see how just the weight of the structure wouod do it. Any strong wind will take it

    • @TeeRMN
      @TeeRMN Před 3 lety +1

      @@albertofernandez9798 I have a few panels on my flat roof (unsecured) and have been through storms without the slightest movement. These panels linked together are going to be extremely heavy, drag efficient and wont move during strong winds.

    They don’t show wire management prep

    • @jansmit4628
      @jansmit4628 Před rokem

      Only one small shot of untying the inter connections. In the end two cables (a+ wire and a-wire), so all panels are in series, looks a lot to me. Perhaps the created 3 strings of 4 panels in series and connected the 3 string already in parallel on the roof. Tying all interconnections to the frame, so free from the roof where water will rule. Also not shown is how this is done and how the wires to the inverters are guided through the roof or wall.
