How to create wood eyeglasses by upgrading cheap reading one
In this very long video i explain the complete process of creating wood eyeglasses frame based on a cheap one that i will only keep the arms and the glasses.
I have organised the video in 8 steps:
Step 1: creating the profile based on reference eyeglasses. For that i have used a picture of this reference that i have imported in adobe illustrator, scaled and with the pen i have created the profile and imported directly in my cloud space of my shaper origin
Step 2: routing the eyeglasses profile in an ikea cutting plate that i have already used for other project ;-)
Step 3: Sanding the profile to get it curved. For that step i have used a JET spindle sander.
Step 4: Extract the glasses on the reference eyeglasses and cut the arms to reuse both on the new frame
Step 5: Insert the arms in the frame by creating small square hole corresponding to the arms dimensions
Step 6: Adjust the glasses to fit the frame by sanding the edges of the glasses
Step 7: Glue the arms in the frame with epoxy glue.
Step 8: Finishing the frame by applying a thin layer of Cosmo oil
Enjoy !

So being that the panels are flat rather than at an angle, they get sun east to west, rather than just where they are pointing.

Only one small shot of untying the inter connections. In the end two cables (a+ wire and a-wire), so all panels are in series, looks a lot to me. Perhaps the created 3 strings of 4 panels in series and connected the 3 string already in parallel on the roof. Tying all interconnections to the frame, so free from the roof where water will rule. Also not shown is how this is done and how the wires to the inverters are guided through the roof or wall.

  • @christiankulmann3325

Mini Winter Solar Tip: You can gradually turn down a Beuler and all other hungry electricity consumers with the "5000W dimmer". Ebay €7. I run 5 dimmers in parallel on an 850W inverter. Kettle 2.2KW at 150W runs 12 hours a day, so the water is always hot. The room is also nicely heated. 2.5KW washing machine runs in parallel with dimmed to 200...400W. Iron, dishwasher, oven, electric heater, coffee machine, all internal heating are throttled with me. Videos about it on my channel czcams.com/video/eC2olbCBhh0/video.html The inverter stays cool, quiet and the MOSFETs remain intact because extreme current peaks no longer arrive at the inverter. Now every Mini PV Inverter is enough to sell large devices. So, with the dimmer, all internal heaters/devices can be converted into base load devices that stay almost permanently ON, drawing very little current directly from the PV. You can measure this with a wattmeter / energy cost meter to set the dimmer. A little hint (for everyone else): Energy cannot be saved. So if I want to boil my water, I always have to use the same amount of energy for one liter. Christian's method relies on a longer period of time with less power in order to be able to use the power provided by the PV as efficiently as possible - so consumption peaks are intercepted. In the end, the energy consumption should even be (slightly) higher due to the interposition of the dimmer, but it doesn't matter, since more efficient coverage by the PV system and therefore better use of the self-generated energy..
