I really want to see how this artist will turn out because it's his first song ever if I'm not mistaken. Duncan wrote and composed it himself. It's about someone (a girl) that passed away young, if I'm correct. And indeed, Duncan did win last night! I was at work (a bar) and we had the ESC on a big screen. The moment he won the crowd went nuts, me included. It's been 40+ years since we won last lol.

Ja man precies dit. Sterker nog, dit is voor het eerst dat ik serieus gespannen ben voor Duncan dat hij gaat winnen. Het hele songfestival boeit me eigenlijk niet, maar dit keer wel puur omdat het zo'n mooi nummer is.
I actually believe we have a very high chance of winning this year considering the quality of the lyrics and the uniqueness of the rythm and sound. It goes from very high to very low, which makes it very hard to sing but Duncan is amazingly good during live performances. I think Arcade stands out in comparison to all the other entries. I my opinion, this year’s songs aren’t very good quality and very meaningless. A lot of empty pop beats and corny lyrics. If we don’t win this year, I will lose all my faith in Europe’s voters. This is what music is supposed to do with you, make you emotional. Hit you right in the core & give you the chills.
Finally , after 44 years ! I can still remember the winning number Ding-a-Dong by Teach-in, in 1975 . I know the two previous winning artists, Corry Brokken with Net als Toen en Lenny Kuhr with De Troubadour, but that was before my time.
