It's not clear how Ukraine can reclaim all of its territory. The cost could be too high in many ways. Can't some sort of compromise or ceasefire be agreed to such as the situation between North and South Korea?
Possibly having Russia get Crimea by international recognition. My rationalization is that Khrushchev (a Ukrainian himself) gave the Crimea to Ukraine in return for their support. But Ukraine has to be able to get into NATO. Biden, in my view, should have armed Ukraine to the hilt the moment he realized they were going to fight. Then Putin might have been able to back down before being too committed. Biden is the opposite of walk softly and carry a big stick. Perhaps if Biden could give Ukraine very limited nukes (Ukraine and Belarus gave up their nukes to Russia in return for a guarantee of their borders in 1994) with strings attached, perhaps Putin would realize the futility of the war. Removal of the nukes would be part of a peace agreement. With Korea....the South and US nearly lost everything in the first few months...then regained it and almost all of North Korea...then the Chinese came in ....and there was a long bloody stalemate near the original borders. It was a bit different.
