    I find that floating my yarn when doing color work is the easiest for me to do so that's my preferred method. Plus I don't mind the somewhat messy back I think it kinda looks cool imo 😊 even for wearable items, but if it's a gift for someone rather then myself I just sew a lining if I want it to look finished or if it's relatively thin I'll just created a second crochet panel and crochet the two together.

      That's a great idea to sew in a lining!

    As a lefthanded crocheter, I shudder to think how I would have to approach this. It's very pretty looking.

      How do people even do it/learn it left handed 😭 i only see it sometimes and it's as foreign to me as UK terminology lol

    Thank you Kayla 😃 I've never even attempted one of these, though I've seen them and wanted to. Great tutorial, I think I'll have a go now 🥰🥰🥰

    Hello! thank you for these techniques! But, what happened for the next row? Do you turn your work? Do you start a new row without turning it? I'm so lost about that!

    Where did you get your ring stitch counter? I've looked all over but I can't find anyone that sells them. Love your video as always 🖤

    This was really helpful, Kayla. Thank you so much!
    I've always wondered how the color work techniques differed and with your sis by side demo of each one makes it much easier to decide which one will be best for me to try with different projects.

    I was going to ask you if you did tapestry crochet. I started two months ago. I just did a skull and now I am doing jack skeletons face. I love this. I plan on doing a day of the dead sugar skull tapestry crochet blanket in the future.I also hope to learn to do mosaic crochet soon.

      Omg that blanket sounds amazing! Mosaic crochet is another one I love quite a bit.

    I downloaded the pattern and I wonder what would be a good substitute for that yarn? Any suggestions?

    Could you please tell me where you’ve gotten your stitch counter? I looked in the description and could see any link. I have ran sacked Amazon and they have nothing like your stitch counter.

  • @devilish_vamp
    @devilish_vamp Před rokem

    Genuinely curious, why are you working the pattern upside down? Does it help the design turn out better than if you did it from the bottom up?

    • @AltKnots
      @AltKnots  Před rokem +1

      This pattern works with decreases on the side to create the shape. so if it were worked the opposite direction, there would need to be increases instead. It’s just the way the pattern was written🎃
