I had to listen again to write the words to express why/ how to walk away or stay. Nothing about " this isn't me, this is not my life, not my soul this isn't where I'm going" 14 years and I'm still justifying the " invalidation, insecure- emotional distrust w/ him, feeling my own power being sucked out by the neg. what a wonderful clarification for me, to bring me to a place where I can let go of the other person, and stop waiting for them to change thereby foregoing my own life. Am aiming now to put the emphasis on the right thing, and to let my mind, body, and spirit heal back into congruence with the me of me.

Thrive on! Thank you, Melanie. Among some key revelations that have really helped me to understand things much better is when you've said how important is to be anchored in our values, because that completely protects us from being duped by the narcissist and manipulated.
Another thing is when you've said that the narcissist in not there for a relationship, just for a take over, for the narcissistic supply, which means I am taken down. This is a major, crucial revelation. This has completely disengaged me inwardly, it has made it so simple to see the narcissist for what she is, really a nobody who pretends to be the queen of the world. Thank you for the immediate revelation, relief and freedom this has brought to my life.
-In my case it was a "spiritual" narcissist, a woman pastor/teacher/prophet/apostle/evangelist. Evidently, all these were what she pretentiously purported to be. Always above anyone else on this earth.
