(Dredd roars away on the lawmaster)
Dredd: Mega City one. 800 million people living in the ruin of the old one. And the mega-structures of the new one. One thing fighting for order in the chaos: Judges

This film had so much potential. Sly was a cool Dredd, the music was great and Mega City one was breath-taking. As per the screenplay was the weak link in the chain as well as Dredd being helmet-less for most of the movie. Such a missed opportunity. The Karl Urban film is the definitive Judge Dredd film. It's such a pity it won't get a sequel though.

The ending is very in character for dredd, this movie could have been good if dredd keep his helmet on for the entire movie.

True, but in retrospect, the movie actually could've been much better if it didn't try to cram in various Dredd stories into one film; which felt largely underdeveloped and under-cooked....
Dredd 2012 succeeded because it was much more focused and less convoluted.
Sometimes, less is more. And that's where the 2012 film succeeds; especially with Karl Urban's acting performance.
