If they're able to feed cheap home-made flechettes into a spacegun and (because of the smaller size) have many more rounds before needing a reload or running out, flechettes will be better than bullets. 2000AD is cramped, they need CQB (close quarter battle) weapons, not weapons with a range that exceeds most lines of sight.

Hershey said they were shooting from the upper floors, but MegaBlocks are a kilometer tall. That's why they're called MEGA. Floor 40 isn't even halfway up. And the entry gates to them are wide enough for four lanes of traffic. Not giving the movie any props, since they're really more than 200m away, even on Floor 40 which is closer to 400m up. This movie really failed to nail the scale.

However, in the movie, they did mention flechettes in which case in this fantasy sci fi movie movie meets reality world, the 'rounds' would loose energy MUCH faster because the rounds are so small. 200 meter effective range sounds ambitious considering how small the flechettes would be. But fuck it, we're making movies real, here.

Karl Urban was a better Dredd i think, but this movie was more memorable. I dunno about the comedy part, but it wasn't that bad.

Man, I love the over-the-top cumbersome design of the motorcycle and the dystopian streets compared to the newer Judge Dredd. Tho I like the darker tone of the new one.

0:56 when you family sends you to calm your cousins who are fighting in the other room

Just noticed that the guy Dredd shoots at the end of this clip was the same guy who played Ajx in The Warriors

I think my favorite quote regarding this movie had to have come from Rob Schneider, where he said he knew that the movie was going to tank when he saw Stallone come out with the giant codpiece.

Hollywood doesn’t make badass movies like this anymore.
