this movie had every thing going for it incredible casting people who really wanted to make it work funding from the studio only thing it was missing was a good script. will smith is an incredible deadshot and the movie has awesome funs scenes like this margo robbie is harley quinn shit i even like jai couirtney as boomerang and i normally dislike him. leto joker was not as bad as people said but not heath ledger obviously. The evil witch sucked and the script was meh.

As an avid shooter, I like that the writers (or maybe just Will) put time into filming proper shooting technique. Good grips, practical engagement stance, good reloads overall. I like it
I love how the second he realizes the rounds are live he not only checks by smelling and clearing the chamber but he essentially smokes the gunpowder and immediately just starts letting it rip with the 1911. Sick ass accurate scene.

love the small details here, deadshot is shooting/aiming with both eyes open, this is a much more effective method of aiming in combat scenarios but incredibly difficult to master, showing deadshot's extreme familiarity with shooting and firearms in general

The thing about deadshot is that he isnt just shooting the gun with aim, he is accurately calculating the movement and acceleration of the bullets, so he knows how many bullets it would take to pierce the dummies. He knows the smell of gunpowder bcs he has experience and he knows that he has to remove the safety pin. This shows he doesnt do things blindly and has really been educated in his life.
No matter what if he's villain, assassin, anti hero, bad guy, love the fact that his entire price was for his daughter and not anything for himself

Best scene in the movie. The song isn't obnoxious and out of the place and it has the least cringey dialogue. You could actually feel Deadshot's excitement to hold and fire a gun again and the song makes it work.
When he sniffed the gun powder after being burnt off by firing that was such a good touch. Him, flag and harley are the only reason this movie had any decent scenes. The second one by James gunn was phenomenal

I love how much he enjoys getting to shoot again after so long. The second he realizes the guns are real he jumps into action like a kid at a candy store. It shows that it isn't really killing that he enjoys, just shooting.
just on the DC lore side, there is also the fact that Deadshot is a professional he doesn't generally kill unless paid to, very little to no collateral damage unless he gets attacked or there is a direct witness to his kill. if he has a superpower it is absolute aim or perfect aim he hits what he aims for he is the only DC Bad Guy that this one does not consider a Villain because he doesn't have any goal to take over, he does his job and then he is out. and Will Smith portrayed that excellently in this ones eyes :D

Nah - I love Deadpool, but they're apples and oranges. Floyd is dangerous and effective because he is professional and the epitome of discipline (in shooting). Notice how Deadshot changes when he realizes the rounds are live. He smells the gun smoke and it's like he's high. This is a man who's entire live was based around shooting and after going so long (about 9 months) without touching a gun, he feels alive again and a sense of familiarity and I like how well the movie shows this.

This scene is put together quite well in my opinion, the warden isn't one-sided, Deadshot isn't one sided and neither are the "agents" so it's a thematically consistent scene I think.
However it's...telling how the high price is university tutelage. It's crazy how crooked american education is. It's not like everywhere else the school system is perfect or even good, but the idea that the only way for someone not already rich to get high education is to join a suicide squad is...well you know.

That's how I felt about the bar scene.
A lot of the set-up scenes were better than the main story. Once they group up and start fighting the faceless minions, the movie turns to shit. The set-up scenes were what? 30? 40 minutes of the movie? For that 30 or 40 minutes, this was a really interesting film. Then they started fighting bloodless, faceless PG-13 minions that might as well have been "Despicable Me" minions, and the movie immediately becomes boring shit.
Clearly you weren't looking at Margot Robbie's ass the whole movie cause that was the best part
