Kristian also talks to Clancy about his life growing up and how it helped him achieve all he’s achieved. Of course, he also talks about his work on numerous iconic films like ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ and ‘Highlander’, his extensive VoiceOver work on shows like ‘Star Wars: Rebels’, and why he always plays the bad guy onscreen. He goes in depth about his work on ’Rebels’ and why he thinks Dave Filoni should have a bigger role in shaping the Star Wars universe. This dude was the best in Detroit: Become Human. And he's a good guy in that! Playing as his android partner was my favorite part of that game. And he is in my opinion, the best Lex Luthor we've ever had.

It really buggs me how this guy didnt get some big budget movies. He is perfect
Absolute truth, as I worked on Shawshank too, and got to know Clancy. He was very kind, easy to talk to and easy to work with. If you had the chance to ask him, he might remember, I was working with Frank behind the camera at the time and we had to coach Clancy at being "Sgt Hadly", and by that I mean not be Clancy 😊 He literally had a hard time with putting a good beating on "fat ass", so we had to shoot that scene many times, just because we couldn't to get him to be "violent". This was difficult for him as he is really such a good guy !
The more I get to know about him, the more I adore him.
My reaction watching Highlander (when it came out) at age 15 and seeing Clancy Brown: the sexiest villain ever! 👍
I will always remember Clancy as Brother Justin in Carnivale! He was amazing in that role.

Kristian is such a great interviewer, the guests always start off feeling like what they’re doing is just part of the job (which it is), but by the end they always open up so much and look like they’re actually enjoying themselves

He's my altime favorite bad guy! That been said I think it's a pitty Highlander didn't get more airtime in this great interview.
Even more because there's a lot of talk about his voice-over business, and there's only one movie where his voice is beyond GREAT, and that's when he's playing The Kurgan.
Why didn't you ask how on earth he did managed to get that raspy dark f*cked-up voice! I've seen another clip here on YT where he performs on stage... in a kilt... a flawless Kurgan voice (clip from 2016 so 30 years later).
I've been trying for decades to get that sound, without any succes... and he's performing it like it's nothing.
In short; I want Clancy's voice!!! ;-)

These are some great interviews. Really enjoyed listening to this on my way to work. Nothing groundbreaking but a real comfortable laid back time with someone that seems like an old friend at this point because of how frequently we’ve seen him and heard him.

Clancy Brown Is without a doubt one of my favorite voice actors of all time. Even though he may not have much versatility In distinguishing his voice, his excellent performance he puts Into his characters more than makes up for It. I love seeing him play villains In tv shows and movies because he has that gravelly low toned type of voice that perfectly suits a dark, ruthless and menacing villain. Clancy Brown Is simply a legend for his voice work and he will surely not be forgotten any time soon.
