I love how the owner was confused about the too much lobster... what she didn't understand is gordons looking at it from a business standpoint not a customer. Ofc the customer would love lots of lobster but the business can't survive giving away that much...
Especially subpar lobster, where the customer either won’t like it and in the worst case might send the food back and you just completely lose the money

@@madelinebitts2766 really? The ones i have are always really nice, though it is a bit crumbly
@@madelinebitts2766 American scones are meant to be eaten without toppings, so they are denser with more gluten to have more flavor. They should be dense and chewy, not tough. The higher amount of frozen butter in the dough will evaporate water during cooking to fill gaps with steam so that dough doesnt fill that space and they form a scone that crumbles apart very easily because of all the thin layers of air. They are much too dense to rise to the round shape in uk scones. Uk scones are much more colorful and diverse once you add toppings, but the actual American scone itself is much better imo. At this point, American baking is just generally more intensely flavored versions of other cultures' baking. Like traditional european ginger bread is meant to be eaten as a side and topped with sugar, while American ginger bread is full of so much fucking sugar that adding powdered sugar would give you diabetes instantly. And there is way too many spices for it to be a side. UK cooking has a lot of synergy and interplay between foods, like refusing to eat beans without toast (lol gottem)

Legally that is a requirement, you can’t serve artificial meat of any kind and label it as authentic. If you were selling artificial “wings” and spelled it as wings and someone figured it out they could sue that establishment.
