    Still putting out great content! I fell off with DJing (insert excuse) but, I remember when I was starting my DJ journey in November 2012 and came across your channel; I've been subscribed since. I purchased the DDJ-sx because of this channel and been playing with it lately. Revisiting this channel just gave me the spark I needed
    Thanks!

    I definitely get away with a cheap $20 webcam, never had any complaints. So no excuse to not start live streaming there 💚💪

    Still sharing the knowledge. I appreciate you, my brother. Since this video went out, I lot has happened but I feel it is a good thing. I went back and look at my streaming and made some changes. I followed some of the content creators and see how they have their streaming platforms. I followed some of my peers and checked out their streaming. The one I am missing is lighting for the webcam on my laptop. It is one of the 3 cams I use for live streaming. It has been a good addition but it doesn't work if I want to begin recording content for CZcams and Twitter. I do like your idea of using some platforms for DJing and others for live content. I understand you using Mixcloud for your DJ stream so you don't have to worry about your music being muted. The downside is Mixcloud Live. They have not improved it and you have to pay 15usd a month to use it. For now, I don't use it, In fact, I plan on taking it down altogether. I post all my recorded sets on Soundcloud. They have improved their platform and allowed DJs to upload their mixes w/o any issues. As far as Facebook, I live stream there but I don't use my group or my personal page. I only live stream via my Househeadspeakz page. So far I have not run into any issues. Once I get my lighting, I will get back into my content. Thanks for continue to share the knowledge with your fellow DJs.

    some great advice for those starting out - i've been streaming over on Twitch for 18 months - never any issues with live take downs and echo your recommendation for that as a platform

      Didn’t I mention Twitch in this video? I use Twitch because I think it has the best community. No issues with the streams, but no usable replay due to all the muting ;)
      So yeah, Twitch works great

    So you really gave a lot of great information and thank you so so much. I do have a question can you start streaming with just a generic background and it’s really more about the music you’re playing what you say and you don’t have to start with a video of what you ultimately want to finish with?

    Great video as always TLM thank you 🙏🏻 question is there a way to test your video on twitch? What would you suggest? I wanted to just start off streaming with friends until I get everything right. Thanks

    • @djTLMtv
      @djTLMtv  Před 2 lety +1

      You can create a test account. So you make a Twitch account and only share it your friends. Chances that anyone else will see it are basically 0. That allows you to test

    • @djTLMtv
      @djTLMtv  Před 2 lety +1

      So don’t put your name in the account name or name of the streams either. Keep it undercover

    How can we stream without getting cut off or muted ??

    • @djTLMtv
      @djTLMtv  Před 2 lety

      Well, the platforms that cut you off will continue to do so. Either you change platforms, or you would have to do test uploads with the songs you want to use in a mix, to see which songs will be allowed. But that takes a lot of work and only works for certain genres. I know I don’t even have to try ;)
      That’s why I stick to Mixcloud (legal), Twitch (no problems live, just mutes on the replay), and Twitter (safe for now, but no real audience yet)

    Great video! However there is some misinformation on Canon. Canon has software to go 1 to 1 via hdmi. Also there is option to turn auto off on the m50. I use mine for 2 hour plus stream in 4k with absolutely no issues. Keep up the hustle!

    • @djTLMtv
      @djTLMtv  Před 2 lety +1

      Are you talking about an option in the menu to disable the auto off? Because I haven’t seen that.
      The M50 has clean HDMI out, but does Canon have software to give any Canon cam clean HDMI? What’s it called?

    • @djscarecro7619
      @djscarecro7619 Před 2 lety +1

      @@djTLMtv not sure why CZcams will not let me post links, just look up Canon EOS webcam utility software.
      It is free from Canon and is only on newer OS and Mac. This will also fix the issue with 30 min auto off on the M50 as well.

    I appreciate the knowledge you share with us thank you for that. My first question is
    1. I have a laptop that has a built-in camera can I use that for my live stream it will I be able to hook up the audio so it sound good.
    2. You ever thought about building your own website for DJ ing just wonder.

    • @djTLMtv
      @djTLMtv  Před 2 lety +1

      You can use a built-in webcam for streaming. I don’t know about the video quality though. Built-in webcams usually aren’t that great, but you could try to start with that.
      And what would a website for DJ’ing look like? Or do you mean my own online DJ course?

    I just had my very first gig which was via Zoom and IRig stream delivered the sound beautifully. I was using turntables and my older Rane mixer. But is it normal to not need an audio interface when using a controller? I also have a DDJ-1000 and when doing some sound testing through Zoom the sound was perfect and I didn’t need the IRig.

    • @djTLMtv
      @djTLMtv  Před 2 lety +1

      What’s your setup? Are you running Zoom and your DJ software from the same computer? Because in that case the computer will most likely see the DDJ1000 as the audio interface.

    • @piscespisces6
      @piscespisces6 Před 2 lety

      @@djTLMtv Yes I ran Zoom and my DJ software from the same computer. I also used my iPad as a second device to see everyone in Zoom. Zoom from my computer recognized the controller in the Zoom audio settings. But the crazy thing is Zoom also recognized my Rane mixer without the IRig but the sound in Zoom picked up that high pitched sound the needle makes against the control record. The only fix was buying the IRig. I have a Rane TTM57MKII. Thanks for the response.

    TLM what slipmats would you recommend

    • @djTLMtv
      @djTLMtv  Před 2 lety +1

      I have no idea😄
      I’ve used all sorts of slip mats over the years, and in most cases I didn’t know the brand. For instance: I have a set of yellow Beat Street slipmats that I use a lot, but I have no idea what kind of slip mats they are.
      The most important thing is that they’re not too thick.

    • @djTLMtv

      Music? Twitch has the best community, Mixcloud is the only truly legit option, and Twitter works, but there’s not a real audience there. Unless you have a massive Twitter following
