I think these tips are invaluable. I only get 20 to 30 people watching my streams but I truly appreciate those people tuning in to watch me and I always acknowledge everyone on the stream. You're right, I don't worry about the numbers because they have gradually be going up. Thanks for the encouragement 🙏
Great video. This is everything I have been thinking. I’m about to get started streaming and I’ve had DJs I know telling me “What all I need”. I’m like bro…”why do I need all of that?? I’ll just use my iPhone and GO!” Seeing your video confirmed exactly what I was saying. Time to get started! Thanks!!
The MOST VALUABLE TIPS EVER!!! Thanks so much Terry... I'm streaming on TikTok have been worried about the numbers. 😅Have FUN and show it💯🎶🥳💃🕺
I love this video I wish a lot DJs paid attention to this it will help them become better live streaming DJs. Keep up the work 👊🏾❤️.
Thank you! This is so helpful. I probably won’t ever really DJ live cuz no controller and no skills haha but this video is great ❤
You nailed it. These points are exactly what is important to remember when streaming
Absolutely loved this episode and just how real the talk was!
This is an awesome video with awesome helpful info. Thank you so much for this!
Another great video in the books my dude! Thank you! 🙏🏻
Dope advice as always. Another thing I think is worth mentioning, don't go crazy on the visuals/animations. No matter how good it looks in your view in OBS, Twitch and streaming in general will compress the video a LOT and make it look a mess. Keep the style clean and simple for the most visual impact.
yeah I hate 3D animated crap on screen
Thank you for these beautiful video and theses beautiful advices 🙏🏻
your video just like gave me a much needed hug. thank you
Yes!!! Cleveland Terry nailed this one. I would like to add another one. Just have fun. It is not about money or having a fan base. Those things will come in time. I enjoy playing and learning more on the live stream. I also check out another DJ live stream (like CT). Since I am under 2 Radio stations umbrella, I have more freedom to promote and play on my 2 shows (working on 3). Also, promote your shows so people know where to find you. For example, I and my DJ partner are part of a family reunion at one of our radio shows next week. It's going to be a weekend event and I've been promoting it mostly on FB.
Good video, man. Thank you for the info! Love your vibe.
Thank you for the videos! I appreciate the information as I'm just getting started in the streaming world. It's a bit overwhelming to be honest but it loos to be a lot of fun.

I'm not sure how I found this video, but thanks for the information. I've been considering DJing on Twitch for a while now and your advise makes me feel a little better about taking the leap. I just subscribed here and I'll go look for you on twitch in a sec.
Thank you. Very informative and down to earth for us newbs thinking about streaming on Twitch but literally have NO clue.
Great video. Ur helping to get me ready for Twitch. I just wanna have fun and have others have fun with me. I want people to see and feel my passion for music. Soon come!

A very good and insightful video.
great info - i just started streaming and i found this info very useful
Great video! Nailed everything I was doing wrong
🎉🎉🎉thank you very good information
A great vid! I think so many people get caught up in the barrier of entry!
Been a longtime music fan, and was gifted a controller. A friend literally said "I think you'd be amazing at this, here's my old rig". Am I a great DJ? no. Am I pretty to look at on camera? Also no..
Buy I have fun and even in a short time I have a bunch of friends that look forward to it. I hope your video inspires lots of people to give it a try.
Thanks for the tips Bruh !!
Solid info here! Keep it up!
Thankyou Terry 🙏
Thank you very helpful tips
Thanks bro 👊🏻 you said what needed to be said..
that's pretty much on point!
Great video!!
Respect... the most humble and straight forward advice I have ever watched in years. Thank you for the great content
even though I consider myself good techie person I have been struggling doing proper live stream on IG as this is where most of my fanbase, and your calm and straight forward way helped me a lot, I hope this streaming hype won't last for long and all DJ's artists, Musicians return back to where they belong "Festivals, Clubs, Events, Concerts, Theaters etc...." and let us do what we do best "Creating & Performing Music" instead of juggling 8 balls in the air : D
I think there will be both and you’ll get to choose which one works best for for you. Streaming is not for everyone just like club DJing is not for everyone.
@@ClevelandTerry Yes you are totally right
You are always on point. Was getting discouraged. Thank you. I needed that pep talk. All the best to you Cleveland Terry. Be well and safe.
Thank you for sharing.
GREETINGS from CABO VERDE ISLANDS
CHEERS🤩
Legend thanks brother
liked this with 2 accounts, thanks for the helpful tips! just got into Djing so let's get it
Cleveland, Thank you!
thanks really helped
awesome tips
Awesome bro
Dope video! Man... why you clowning homeboy with the close up cam?!! We know who you talking about! LOL! Good stuff!
I have no idea who you’re talking about. 😂
I bypassed the need for an audio card by rigging up Voicemeter Banana using a 'virtual line' and selecting an audio setting in Serato that allows the audio to pass through to the stream.
Awesome advice.
You are awesome. Well said. I appreciate you brother bless
Good job homie
Thank you!
you rock thank you
Always good advice. I have no Idea who those djs are that you mentioned. Probably not my Genre. I'm a Latin dj. I mix salsa, Bachata, Cumbia, Merengue, and Kizouk. I PRIMARILY follow DJ SOLTRIX out of Tampa. Anyway keep bringing that great info.
#1 for me.. no followers on twitch but its such a great feel to play music without watching if your gonna get kicked for copyright
You are the realest bro
thank u!
Wow we’re thinking the same way. I literally did a FB post to my fellow DJs about all these same points. Gonna share this vid to follow up on that more. Great content as usual!
A video I’d like to see in the future is about emotes and subscriber tiers, the benefits of the path to affiliate and partner on Twitch. I’m still learning how to add my own emotes and just a few steps away from Affiliate. Thanks for your videos bc they got me from 3 people now to almost 90 in a few weeks.
Your videos are always so good! Thanks! biggest advice is "DONT WATCH THE NUMBERS"
Great tips
Really inspiring
so good
Awesome video! I have automated lighting and a concert sound system in my studio! I usually have it jamming. Should i not have the live sound going!?
you're great and funny.... I love it... I need big time help setting up.....rrrrrrrr
10/10 solid advice
I appreciate the twitch tutorial. Thanx
Thank you for these excellent tips, as I've just finished my first ever livestream, I won't panic or worry about the trivial stuff, I'll concentrate on the music.
thank's Cleveland
The audio is good i am using cdjs with time coded cds and that works great .I want to get some Rane 12s mk2s at some point or failing that the Denon 6000ms look good .These would remove the need for time coded vinyl or cds which in the long run i think would be better.
solid advice brotha thank you
Great
Hi Cleveland - who did your intro video....looks slick. Could do with one myself
I get them all except the numbers section. Remember, that if you have 25-50 viewers consistently viewing your stream there are over 6 Billion people on the planet so the odds that all of them will be in your city let alone State are rather thin. This is why having 2 friends you have coffee with tell another 2 friends they have espresso with tell 2 friends and so on is so important. If you can get all of those friends in the club for coffee and an espresso you are golden.
Hi! Great video thank you so much for the insight! I do have a question: I'm currently djing as a hobby and have dj'd at a couple of small friend/family functions. I'm using soundcloud through Serato rn and don't currently have the funds to get into record pool subscriptions or purchasing all of my tracks. I want to start streaming on twitch. Is it ok to use soundcloud feature on serato to dj on twitch? I'm not fully educated on all of the legalities. Thank you in advance! :)
My broadcasts do not involve talking and where i am that might be difficult so it just a mix of music and visuals
Thanks B. I been on this streaming journey since Ustream and its been rough getting it right. I'm gonna concentrate on the 10 things but I still wanna get a proper camera and a Stream Deck. I'm gonna invest in a new laptop and use my new one for streaming and the old one for bearing or should I do it the other way around? I'm dream of the day that the work flows swimmingly!
Super good info.🔥💯
🤘🏻🤘🏽🤘🏿always passing the knowledge!
I keep running across your videos and at this point, it's disrespectful not to subscribe. All the videos have been fire.
Much appreciated
some very good advice but I think No.5 IMO is not true. Most people dont give a shit in clubs about what the DJ is actually doing and its the same on Twitch. Playing good sets, being open, talking with people or doing silly stuff to entertain them is way more important. And this is why beat sync is your best friend on Twitch.
