Duncan Robinson's improvement is so amazing it's a shame they can't get Herro to accept a 6th man role.
Sorta the catch 22 of Miami’s player development.
Tyler is better than Terry and Duncan
@@cottoncandylol7175 in a vacuum, sure, but Duncan fits better lol
@@jac23mjyeah now that terry is there but Tyler better than terry
Love that these dudes talk about legit ball and not just the media darlings. Long takes on teams like OKC and Miami are too rare. Well thought out and presented. You can tell these guys watch a lot and understand the game.
Thank god someone talked about Miami in a legitimate basketball manner. Sucks that you cursed them at the end lol. Great podcast as always!
Thank u for saving basketball discourse
Nothing make me happier then hearing Nekias say STEVE 😂😂
Every season, people focus on Lakers, Celtics, Nuggets, Bucks, Clippers, 76ers, etc... and they FOREVER ignore the Miami Heat, then March/April arrive, & Jimmy "Buckets" Butler starts to appear outta the smoke with Bam, Duncan, Kevin Love, etc... and starts catching🔥
y’all got me crying tears of joy. you brothers gave the smartest conversation about OKC and what they do and how short Rylan and Andrew
The only other CZcams channel that I found, that's not an OKC fan or covers the Thunder, gives smart analysis about the Thunder is Utility Sports. For the past 4 years hes preached about the style that the Thunder play
Surprise surprise, ya actually talkin ball and really are well versed in what the heat season has been till this point unlike other podcasts who are click bait and on repeat with same topics and 99% of the time haven’t even watched the games from the team or players they criticize… refreshing to see ya up on game from a heat fan
Thank you for giving OKC some shine
You guys are such a breath of fresh air. Thanks for being you
When will ppl realize that the only reason that Miami have had such weird regular seasons is due to being at the top of the league in injuries? The one relatively healthy year they had(2022), they were the 1 seed. If the Heat are healthy come playoff time, they are always a threat. Its not that hard to understand, really
With a coach like Spo, they are always a threat
Jimmy wants the other guys to develop too. He doesn't go hard for atleast half the season n I can't blame him at his age and what he's had to do in the playoffs
One thing that surprised me this season is Nekias giving the Heawt some credit LMAO! Great episode - love this work you two do!
Sorry I'm late. Y'all are dope. Thank you!
First timer love how details you guys are when speaking about basketball
“Closer by committee” or “Platoon position” were the two baseball analogies I was thinking with MIA’s 4 situation when you said that Steve.
I don’t think it’s the worst thing either. Why not lean into the value of multiple situational looks vs forcing a single primary answer that may not manifest.
Feels very Heat to me.
Love this show. These guys are so smart and likeable.
Minor nitpick: I wish they’d stop punctuating every second or third sentence with “if that makes sense.” You could almost make a drinking game out of it!
Don’t be so apologetic, guys - you make sense!
Love Heat Talk!
Y’all do a really good job btw
The heat are and will always be a playoff team, the heat use the regular season to experiment to see what will work for the playoffs.
I agree they are playoff ready, they lack a 3rd wheel. Imo
@@vittiriowashington5211no they don’t. It’s just geling rhe fit. Tyler can be a third, Jaime def looks the part and so does Rozier at times. It’s more about fit and chemistry and health for them
boston is amazing rn but we seen this from them in the season. this is just a bit better than last time. it wont matter until they prove it in the playoffs.
They upgraded Drue Smith for Patty Mills right now! 🔥
As a lakers fan I think the best way to guard Denver would be Bron on Jokic AD on Gordon Rui mpj reaves on Murray and DLO on KCP
If only Darvon Ham had an ounce of intelligence running through that hollow head of his.
okc basketball = lolrebounds 🤣
it's definitely a glaring flaw in their roster construction but it's true that many of us can't take away what it is they do well while focusing on their weaknesses.
Lets gooooo heat nation. Heating up at the right time. Watch out playoffs
Dunkerspot!
This guy def watches the thunder
Nice to see someone not just talk about rebounding. Anytime someone mentions rebounding Ik they don’t watch
Please what is the intro song
Heat will play Nuggets in the final again. - Simple as that.
2 months ago I made a few bets on OKC over Miami this year, book it!
Heat culture ! Is for real!
Can anyone recommend an nfl equivalent of this pod ?
Heat are kinda tough to read man. Jimmy is literally the opposite of a playoff choker. I think based on the history they'll at least make a deep run and upset a team or two😅
Okc youth bear Bryant said biting dogs bite as pups !
You should know better to underestimate okc lack of physical presence that is a fatal flaw u can’t work around that
Well the matchup is done, right? One of yall knew okc. Kudos for your foresight,, work on your partner
what is this in reference to?
@@NekiasNBA Miami okc defense how real lol. You guys are great
OKC still a mystery while Miami does their thing every playoffs.
OKC is scary
Have the celtics won anything recently?
EXACTLY! They talkin like the Celtics won something significant
So we’re only allowed to discuss the Nuggets, Warriors, Bucks? Foh
@@ryanho5614 and Lakers. Thats it foh
@@lebronjamesharden3958if it’s Lakers-Celtics in the finals…cue the goddamn duckboats. Banner 18 ☘️
They’re talking about the game right now, how it looks right now. Sounds like you’d enjoy ESPN and their 83rd discussion on Lebron vs MJ
Get Coby white on show
Most minutes played in the NBA
Lakers put OKC in a box every time
We can’t drive on them and bc of that we can’t generate 3s
Ok but how are you gonna mention Bagley and not mention Deni Avdija 😤😤
bc I talked about Deni on the pod a week or so ago lol
re: OKC, just saw Nurkic get 31 rebounds on them, and then AD and LeBron pushed them around inside all night. How are they going to handle Jokic in a playoff series? Or KAT and Gobert? I don't think it's going to go well for them. Also, you downplayed their lack of playoff experience. They have none together, and the players have little individually. I don't think they know what it's going to take to beat a Denver or Minnesota in a series.
Minnesota doesn't have that much playoff experience or should I say success, hell a little of both. I like the Thunder chances against Minnesota. They're 2-2 on the season and although Minny has the size advantage, not much difference in playoff experience. Okc has better players individually, just not as big a line up.imo
@@vittiriowashington5211 My comment about Minnesota was more about dealing with the size of KAT and Gobert.
The only team okc struggles with is the lakers but the nuggests would be a problem but Minnesota size don’t affect okc, okc only struggles against bugs that actually play big like ad gobert doesn’t really make okc pay offensively and kat is a perimeter player the kings give okc more problems than Minnesota
@VoltaDoMar Kat doesn't use his size even when he's healthy. He's a shooter stop joking like he's a back 2 the basket big lmao. Gobert has no bag or footwork either, were not afraid of his 12-15 points.😷😷😷
One went to the finals while another is making the playoffs for the first time. Come on now
As a Shai fan who's been really high on OKC all season, I think it's safe to say they've failed enough tests and will likely not even win 1 playoff series. Chet doesn't have it yet, he's easy to contain and even easier to bully when game planned for. Pretty upsetting because I had high hopes for them making it at least to a conf finals, but Chet stagnating when tested and lack of defense/shooting when needed as a team will get them bounced in 5 games at best by whoever they play in round 1
boston can’t win close games tho… all that matters is how they play vs actual contenders.. not teams that refuse to guard the second best player lol
Only one place to start with - Miami then go ahead and talk about Boston Celtics. Are you kidding me? lol
Like I said with my Nuggets there are steps, and OKC is just a bunch of kids who can stumble into a Finals off talent but they have some steps to take and learning to do on how to be contenders in the playoffs that you can't teach. OKC is gonna have a good team, but they still need to mature a bit and grow as a unit in some physical playoff series before I can say they'll go past the 2nd round.
It's such a shame the Knicks are so banged up; Hart would be the 6th man of the year if they had all their guys.
Those Celtics numbers are stupid. Don’t see them shooting that well in the playoffs but it probably won’t matter because when the C’s raise their intensity, they are too tough to score on. There’s no one that has to exert a ton of energy because they can rotate defenders. Plus the length and athleticism is as good as any team. Said it before, the C’s are as close to flawless as a team can be.
OKC can not - can not defend bigs. Any team with a decent distributor & a big is going to destroy them. Chet is going to lose part of his soul. Their offense stops looking as good when they can't get out and run. As much as I enjoy them, I worry about them in the playoffs when most the top teams have big rosters & can slow down the game.
3-1 against DEN. Beat Sengun in b2b games last month. Keep overreacting lol
The heat and thunder are not equivalent teams.
heat are better
Duhhhhhhhhhhhhh
1) In their respective conflicts
2) the question isnt comparing the teams to each other, the question is asking if either should be considered as legitimate contenders
@@shelovet0mmy comparing a 7 seed to a team tied for the 1 seed is a bit odd
@@sixthorderheat have been to 2 finals and 3 ECF in 4 yrs with this core. Okc has one 1st round exit in that time frame.
Heat are 1st round exits
Boston fan?
I hate that jj added y’all. Hey your own channel
"Hate" 😓 bruh just skip this one. Life is too short...😅 or you could "embrace your bounce"😅
The show isn’t quite the same without JJ
Heat cheated last year with kevin love injuring Giannis and recently Ayton😅. F heat.
These guys are boring, either give them their own channel or bring back JJ. This isn't fun.
The Heat will give every Wannabe Champion pause come playoffs…😊the days of real reconning for every one….
I clearly remembered when they played against Sixers and at that time everybody been hyping them up to make it to the finals because of the Harden trade and Jimmy went demon mode on them 😂
