  • A short cruise through West Yorkshire from Bingley to Keighley on The Leeds and Liverpool Canal.
    Taking in St Ives, East Riddlesden Hall, Keighley town centre, Cliffe Castle, Dalton's Mill and the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway featuring The Flying Scotsman, plus the Railway Children steam engine.

    Ref: St Ives walk. That area was full of trees up to this spring. They apparently succumbed to disease & had to be cut down.

    14:10 You are correct it was a winch on the canal. There used to be an old mill just next to it that was still there up to about 30/40 years ago.
    If I remember rightly it was owned by Yorkshire water.

    My pal is coming over from USA for 6 weeks next May, i told him we will do the Leeds/Liverpool to Manchester and come back across the Rochdale, i think we will catch you up having heard about all the closures this year on the LEEDS/Liv. Very interesting vlog as usual.

      Yes we have been moving quite slowly but we are now on a mission to get through the Wigan Flight in the open window 27-10 til 8-11 and then onto the Middlewich before that closes on 8-11.
      Makes me feel dizzy just typing it out!!
