Sharon Rose Gabet I grew up watching you and Larkin. You guys were the best❤ I am s huge fan to this day. I was wondering how to join the re-watch you are doing?
Sharon Rose Gabet I can't wait. I am following your page, but I am not sure how to get in on the re-watch. By the way, I enjoyed the interview with you, Mariann, and Jennifer. It was great to listen to the recollections and how you guys were like a family. You really could sense that on the show. One other question- What was it like to work with Frank Gorshin?
I loved the edge of night and was so sorry when it got cancelled I loved April's penthouse but Oscar was a sloppy doorman letting everybody up stairs lol
@@twain103 Besides his intelligence. He had the best education. I wonder what he would say about the Lori Loughling fiasco trying to get her daughters in those universities undeservedly.
OMG this is the epic surprise i guess.....................Thanks so much. What a way to start off the new year!!!!!!Bravo!!!!!!1 thanks so much big hugs
At 52:12 and 52:16 we will not be able to hear Celebration by Kool & the Gang, as this song is muted due to a copyright claim. But we will all remember The Edge of Night as a venerable soap opera of all time, and for all these bloopers best remembered on The Edge of Night.
+smartykat69 Sharon Gabet told me about it recently, and I got out my trusty Edge detector! Truthfully it was a lot of persistent emails and one pay off.
Lori left the series in December 1983 after a 3 year run. They couldn't write the character off, as Jody was too important to the plot. So she was replaced by Karrie Emerson in January 1984 and she played the role till the series went off the air in December of that year. This Blooper reel was put together in 1984 for the cast during the final cast party in December after taping the last show. Lori was no longer a part of the cast by that time naturally.
In some of these scenes I'm not really seeing the blooper. Like the Gunther/Mitzi/Nora scene that starts at around 22:30. Just looks like a normal scene to me.
Humbert appeared several times as the mayor in the 80-81 season. Stay tune because his full episode here as the mayor has been recovered from one of the cast members tapes. And 77 lost episodes from the 1980 and 81 season not seen in 41 years, will be making their debut here in a couple of weeks.
Yes it's horrible quality like 5th generation dub. But these new tapes are from actor Mark Arnolds personal collection recorded off air WABC directly and they look incredible. You will enjoy them.
I'm so grateful that all this wonderful stuff is appearing again. EON was the BEST.

Raven Forever!!
This is amazing, I never thought I would see such a cool part of classic soap history, thanks for posting.
Loved Forrest Compton. Very talented and underrated performer.
The Edge of Night was the best daytime drama! I am a big fan & have seen every episode!
You can see how much hard work went into making this soap opera. I enjoyed watching this reel.

Joel Crothers was so handsome and expressive!

@@twain103 I haven’t heard about it, he was also in. A very exclusive fraternity and got the Rhodes scholarship.

RIP Larkin Malloy and Joel Carothers
Forrest Compton at 3:28-- from Hogan's Heroes and Gomer Pyle!
Oh and
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Well almost. :-)
2:24 7:52 Joel Crothers would have been 82 years old in 2023. 12:38 49:14
Poor Joel and Dennis are so thin here
God how I miss Edge!
The lady in the red night gown, in the cold water scene , is she the crazy woman from Melrose Place she’s really young here
Lolololol
thanks for this
where did u get this stuff?
+smartykat69 Sharon Gabet told me about it recently, and I got out my trusty Edge detector! Truthfully it was a lot of persistent emails and one pay off.
+MrGH80s who would u know to email? I'm so glad I know someone who " knows people " lololol;)
Forrest Compton was on gomer pyle
funny
6:24 Is that Corbin Bernsen as the dj?
YES.
Raven was early.
Was Raven's name explanation (48:03) from when she gave the Scotts Jamie before leaving the country?
Yes you are exactly right Jarrell. That was exactly where that classic Raven scene was from.
Why does is say that Karrie Emerson plays Jody instead of Lori Loughlin?
Lori left the series in December 1983 after a 3 year run. They couldn't write the character off, as Jody was too important to the plot. So she was replaced by Karrie Emerson in January 1984 and she played the role till the series went off the air in December of that year. Oh okay. Thank you :)
In some of these scenes I'm not really seeing the blooper. Like the Gunther/Mitzi/Nora scene that starts at around 22:30. Just looks like a normal scene to me.
The reason for that is this was a mixture of bloopers AND real scenes edited together by the EON staff in 1984
At 4:30 that’s Humbert Allen Astredo from “Dark Shadows” as the Mayor!
@@Edgeofnight80s will it include the end of the Clown Puppet Murders including Molly’s final rampage against Raven and April?
@@Avatar610 No sadly it will not contain the end of the Clown murders. But there is plenty of great material to enjoy in those missing 77 shows.
@@Edgeofnight80s well I was hoping since what’s currently available on CZcams isn’t top quality.

I'm pretty sure that's Corbin Bernsen as a DJ at ^:25.
I agree.
@@thesponeny YES.
Can someone explain the blooper that starts at 9:12. I don't understand what happened.
I THINK a crew member came into the shot to add a spoon for Mitzi to use. They did'nt NOTICE until the director said something.
