I have heard that on a couple of occasions but I appreciate a good reminder now and then
YOU ARE THE BEST, SIR!
And this isn't even my final form
@@score-yourcollegecounselor I am a real fool, I didn't get much time to prepare for may 6 sat since I had my school exam, I took practice tests and I literally rage quit because i was so slow, today i almost completed all the English material you had put in the drive and I immediately see a HUMONGOUS improvement, I'm just more prepared and confident, you are my savior.
Hey thanks for the kind words and I'm glad it's helping. Confidence is key, so I hope your test goes well. You're taking it this weekend?
@@score-yourcollegecounselor yep, may 6!
Good luck and let me know how it goes!

Hi, I have been having some problem in Punctuation, Poetry and Passages a lot,
Scoring only 580 in both the Sample Tests that I gave, How do I improve myself, I have my SAT this weekend and want it to be somewhere around 650-700.
My SAT Math scores are good they are around 740-780 which are only due to silly mistakes...
Well that kind of a jump over the weekend would be a really great result but it's also hard to get that kind of improvement in a short time. If punctuation's giving you trouble, really review the rules for each punctuation mark and PRACTICE WRITING. I cannot stress that enough, you need to be comfortable actually using the punctuation so that you can quickly identify the right answer.
With poetry and literature stuff in general, there's 3, maybe 4 of those on the whole test. So that shouldn't be what's holding you down at 580. Makes me think that you might need to improve your overall reading strategy too. Try to read only what you need, look at "active reading" strategies.
🙏🙏🙏
Hi , I did 3 practice test on bluebook and scored significantly lower in the last 2 . In the first one I got a 620 , and in the second , my score dropped to 550 , and in the third , I got a 560 . What do you recommend I do ?
Analyze which questions you're getting wrong and practice those. I would compare the results from all 3 and count how many questions from each type you're missing. Focus on those to get better
@@score-yourcollegecounselor Thanks!
@@score-yourcollegecounselor Btw I just watched this video and did practice 4 on got a 610.
Solid result, honestly a 60-70 point variation between tests isn't that unusual. That could just be 2-3 mistakes so that's within the typical margin of error
Hey just wanted to say is khan academy enough for english? Actually I don't think so. Especially, there are not much resources to practice english questions.
I personally don't think 4 practice tests is nearly enough. But that's what College Board has given us. That's why I made a whole lot more material here.
@@score-yourcollegecounselor Thank you so much sir
I have been practicing a lot but my score hasn't increased much, i end up Makin mistakes in not just a specific type but all diff types of questions. What should I do? I have been practicing a lot
If you're getting seemingly random mistakes on different question types, it makes me think that you might be overthinking some questions and not just trusting your instinct. It can be easy to get sucked into a question to the point where you make it more complicated than it should be. Sometimes the simplest answer that "feels right" is just right.
How are you managing your time? Do you have time left over, are you going back for review? Sometimes it's best to just mark a question for review and come back later with fresh eyes and more time on the clock.
@@score-yourcollegecounselor my timing is fine, i get enough to time to recheck but yeah you might be right about the overthinking i do change the answers while rechecking. thank you for ur guidance
Changing answers a lot is definitely a sign you need to trust your instincts more, or just slow down a bit when you're evaluating options. If you're reading the answer choices too quickly you could find yourself stuck between 2 or 3 because you haven't fully analyzed the options.
@@score-yourcollegecounselor yeah you're write, I'll do that n keep practicing
why is 1.C not D?
Because D is exactly what the arrogant pharoah or king tried to do. The text on his pedestal literally says "look upon my works" as if he's bragging. And there's nothing there. This dude tried to preserve his legacy and it didn't matter. So D would be missing the whole point.
Is it from the college board
No, we made all these exercises
