thank you for this!! I’m doing my psat this saturday, really scared 😔😔😔
you got this queen, goodluck!!
Sat math's section is very easy in the practice paper on bluebook, but some math's question are quite difficult on Khan Academy (DSAT) like in course challenge, does that kind of difficulty come in actual paper or it will be same as bluebook(difficulty).
right so in bluebook, all practice tests are adaptive (if you do well in the first module, your second module will be harder..if you perform poorly, your second module will be easier) if you're doing a practice test on paper, the test will of course not be adaptive. personally, i feel the best practice tests to take are the ones in bluebook as they're set in the exact same format as the actual dpsat and dsat.
thank you! good luck for those taking it in august :)
bless!! you got this :))
I took a practice test today. i got 780 in math but r&w is 430 :') the exam is Nov4. What should i do to get +200 in 2 weeks?
Think the Khan Academy's SAT r&w course will help you a lot(it's free). I'm also using this platform to prepare to the SAT(I have the exam on Nov4 as you do) so, really recommend this course and hope you'll get your desired score))
P.S If you an international student you should choose the DSAT r&w course
780 on math, go you!! that's incredible :)
adding onto what @morpham suggested, all good points btw.. with only having 2 weeks left, i would first recommend figuring out your weak points on the reading/writing section (given that you've already taken a practice test, you can use that to help determine what you need to work on)
khan academy is probably your best bet as it will help you better learn and strengthen your weak areas. knowing grammar rules, transition word rules, etc will also come in handy in maximizing your r&w score!
some helpful tips for the r&w section are knowing that everything you need to know is right there in the passage (don't use any outside knowledge). additionally, there is *only* one correct answer (in my opinion what makes the r&w section so difficult is when one feels there are two right answers and then they go back and forth between the two ultimately having to take a gamble..the correct answer can be fully justified from the passage - in other words, the right answer will not deviate to any other topic)
how i personally approach the r&w section is i paraphrase the text in simple terms in my head, this helps me to get the general idea of what i need to know from the text provided. after doing so, i read the question/answer choices and pick the answer that best answers what the question is asking me. (ik that prob made you say duh in your head but hear me out..) for example..if a question is asking "what is the author trying to claim"..i'm going to choose the answer whose main idea can be found right in the passage, i won't get tricked by an answer choice that *almost* seems correct. you can eliminate answer choices that deviate from the question being asked, ones that almost seem correct and obviously the ones that are way off from what the question is asking :)
hope this helps, and goodluck..you got this!!
100% agree, you got this!!
@@therealdeets Love how you use "you got this!" like in Khan Academy)) It's really motivates me to practise more. Probably, the best thing to listen after completing the vids :3
@@morpham all true :) and that's great!!
Do you think using quizlet for the SAT vocab words is good ?

Have my sat in a week, I have been struggling for 6 months now and still only getting 1280 in the mock exam, very close to giving up now
you got this! if your weak area is math, go through the khan lessons over those concepts so you fully understand them :) going over sat vocab will help you a TON with the english section!
Thanks ❤
@@teenadulting8209 ofc!
idk if you can relate but can you make a video on strict parents?
ill def add to the idea box, i got you
Only two video is enough for me to subscribe your channel.❤❤
whoop whoop, welcome!!
Hey, ur videos are so nice!
I got score of 1310 in Nov 18 (Make up) exam. (790 Math; 520 Reading and Writing). Is it possible to hit 1500 by March exam?
it's realistic if you dedicate time to studying diligently. remember that is not about how long you study but how much you actually retain from the study :)
you got this!!
Thank you so much ❤

@@TatianaMcMains ill see what i can do :)
this doesnt help dont waste your time
studying sat vocab is a waste of time? using khan academy to optimize your sat score is a waste of time? etc..i don't think i understand..all the points laid out in this video seem *pretty* beneficial to me.
they just trolling@@therealdeets
Ah, I got 480 on Engliush (I dont remember anything I read and my reading comprehension is horrible) and 640 on math which is okay I'm going for 1200 i guess and going for digital cause the english is much more simpler rather than reading a whole passage and turning back and forth
so my tips here..
first, you can manipulate your math score to be perfect (800) if you close the gap by focusing on your "weak" areas...the "weak" areas being the concepts you may not know or don't fully understand. why not close the gap on something that you can control?
second, with regards to the r&w section...focus on your pacing (most of the time, people haven't developed a strategy to successfully pace well through the english section which results in probably one of two things.. either one: you don't finish in time and have to circle random answers or two: you don't give yourself the chance to fully understand what you're reading which again..ultimately results in you circling a random answer that you think MIGHT be correct. instead, here's an approach i recommend trying..as you're reading through a passage..mentally paraphrase what the text says (mentally put the words into simple terms). doing this will allow you to better understand what you're reading AND will also keep you focused on what you're reading, because if you're engaging in what you're reading, you're less likely to doze off. there are some other things that i will cover in my upcoming video strictly for the r&w section that i def rec checking out :)
nothing is "too hard", if you want something *that* badly and put in the time and actually retain what you're trying to learn, anything is possible because you are capable. you got this, don't sweat it :)
