USR - Call of Duty Ghosts Weapon Guide

In this episode: the Urban Sniper Rifle, an adaptation of Remington's tried-and-tested Model 700 bolt-action rifle design.
The USR's damage is very good - as you'd expect from a sniper rifle, one-shot kills are possible at any range.
You'll kill with a single shot to the head, neck, or torso: so as long as you aim high centre-mass you can expect consistent performance.
This applies at any range, as well - there's no damage drop-off whatsoever: the only issue at an extreme range is spotting and accurately hitting your mark.
As a bolt-action weapon, rate of fire is very low: 51 rounds per minute mandates first-shot precision to be effective, else you'll face retaliation whilst operating the bolt.
This lethargic rate of fire means aimed accuracy is paramount: and given that hipfire performance is abysmal, you'll want to steer well clear of unexpected close-range encounters.
Recoil is substantial, but simply not a factor in shot accuracy given your slow fire rate: by the time the bolt is operated, your crosshairs should be back on target.
The USR does have a built in recoil compensator, which decreases weapon kick as your killstreak grows: a convenience that will allow you to retain a better view of your next target when firing.
Aim time is slow, although faster than some in the sniper rifle class: you'll need 400 milliseconds to scope in fully.
The USR is one of the better handling sniper rifles, and this is reflected with a higher movement speed: you'll move as quickly as an assault rifle, at 90 percent of the base speed.
Magazine capacity is low, at just 6 rounds - although to a skilled sniper that might equate to 6 kills.
The USR is a deadly one-shot weapon that will quench an opponent's streak in a single swift strike.
No other sniper rifle handles better, and you also have superior mobility: a valuable trait for a scout sniper build, or for those intent on aggressive use.
With reliable one shot kills to the head and torso - and a high-powered scope with which to accurately place your shots - in the right hands the USR will thwart your enemy with instant death at any range.
Of course, accuracy is needed to effectively employ the weapon: unaimed fire is effectively useless.
The slow aim time of the sniper rifles makes them unsuitable for reliable close-quarters combat: and paired with the very slow rate of fire, attempting to go toe-to-toe with an SMG up close is tantamount to suicide.
Still, the sniper rifles are specialised weapons - and the trade-offs you make mean that no other weapon class can perform as well at a long distance. - Hry

The Winter Hunter most of the weapons in ghosts exist in real life
@@Skreeze_Nuts Yeah I know, but the comment said "common in the real world". Previous CoD's used weapons in service with big countries' militaries (G36, M16, Famas, ect). In Ghosts, there's the AK-12, M9a1, and that's about it. the other guns are completely unrecognizable.

Think about it. There is less to create a pun off of though. You've got a shorter video, with no gun history. Think Stu's puns in BO2 and previous were all based off of the weapon history. Well most of them were, some were very creative but again he had more to work with.
I think his puns have been good given the circumstances.
That's because just look at these stupid names for guns. At least BO2 weapons had actual names for the most part. Ghosts weapons are mainly just a string of letters and numbers.

for future reference Stu, Chrome Lined increases the felt idle sway, by faster movements within the same sway pattern. Snipers are also getting patched. I'd say do the LMGs or Shotguns for the next 2 or 3 videos.

The chrome-lined barrel also increases idle sway, which can be a detriment. But if you can control it, the extra OHK potential is nice.

I sometimes call the USR the Ultimate Sniper Rifle because of its great desine and cool attachments.
the best attachment pair with this gun is the thermal sight and silencer. giving you white hot enemies and allowing you to shoot silently but deadly

Good class , almost the same that i use with the VKS but instead of reflex Amplify is a better awareness tool for a sniper
The USR is best with chrome lined and ACOG using agility, ready up, and quickdraw...like a one shot kill shotgun if accurate you move so fast with acog and agility.

The USR is my main Sniper Rifle. I do hope that is available in other games at some point and not just CoD.
I prefer to use chrome lined barrel, variable zoom and armor piercing rounds. this mixture, though leaving me open to retaliation from my foes, allows me to pick off guys like a pro, even though I rarely quick scope, if at all.
I'm glad that you don't quickscope often. Your setup seems pretty good.
Nawk I lack the reaction time to quick scope effectively, so I try to set up a class that is the complete opposite of a "run and gun sniper" that quick scopes.

In my opinion i really like that gun too. In bf hardline the weapons good for some medium to long range sniping in my opinion.

For all its faults, Ghosts had some really neat details. The ballistics CPU keeping track of your killstreak is so cool, even though the recoil effect it provides is a rather strange idea.
finally the good weapons
the only thing about the USR Vs. the L115. the L115 is a guarantee kill with chrome lining, but is slower in mobility and switching weapons, although you can get perks for it, I still suggest the USR, being a fan of the Remington M25/M700, I think it looks pretty nice, the downside is that it doesn't have the tan supressor like the L115

I use focus , QuickDraw , dexterity , and the one for explosive resisntance , and for attachments I use chrome lined and extended clip . Secondaries and equipment , ur decision . (:

When the snipers use to fast aiming with quick draw i use to use. if you want your sniper to aim faster use : quickdraw ready up and stalker and what ever you want it use to be faster but now these perks are like well okay...
will you do the SVU? the only weapon that is almost completely unaffected by a silencer as far as performance?
I almost never use his class setups, I do think they are very good. I simply have a thing for stealth, and I don't focus on speed. I have gotten Perfectionist over and over with this.
