    Does this run the Tacomas battery more? I guess I’ll use this during freeway trips on the highway. Awesome.

    My RAV4 hybrid limited does lta really well, I just want to adjust it slightly to the left of the lane, where I've always been driving how can there be no such adjustment, I'm constantly fighting the car for 3 inches.

      Ninja Nicoya saved mine already. My kids distracted me and the car drifted. The sensor told me straight away. It’s very accurate. If it spots a drift with no indicator it warns you. Mine doesn’t have auto steer either.

    Its a neat feature, it kind of feels like the wheel crossing the line has started climbing a hill. Its very subtle at first. Its more of a light shove if your angle is higher but in the end it will leave your steering alone and just beep at you. I tried to get it to ping pong back and forth in the lane but its not that heavy handed. Its pretty well done and not obtrusive.

    Very annoying on my 2018 Camry XLE Hybrid to the point I turn off, other systems that vibrate the steering wheel is much better instead of beeping. I wonder how the 2020 and 2021s will be.

    I just brought the brand new Toyota Camry 2018 SE. Now it is under 3000 miles. There LDA alert or safety adjustment to move back to lane never work. I brought it to the Toyota for another more serious problem of sudden brake with heavy shaking. They say it is normal for not working and not malfunctions. The break and LDA is not working properly, but is not malfunction. I just don't get it. I called the sales department 5 times, they never call back. The service department saying they can't do anything with it. I brought it for its reliability, but It turn into disaster to buy the it.

    What if you need to go around someone will it stop you? What if someone was coming into my lane or I’m swerving on purpose to avoid an obstacle in the road will it stop me?

    • @waynebinky
      @waynebinky Před rokem

      It will pull slightly but you will win. I now anticipate the pull. I find now if I'm going to go over the center line to avoid a cyclist, if you actually signal the lane deviation (like the law says to do), it will not try and steer you into the obstacle you're trying to avoid.

    • @Rainbowbrite10
      @Rainbowbrite10 Před rokem +1

      @@waynebinky thanks but I turned it off. I felt like it was going to cause me to have an accident instead of help me.

    So, let's say I'm driving a Tacoma, this will save me from colliding with someone else on the highway. Cool.

    Fast forward to 2022; I am a happy owner of a 2022 Lexus ES 300h. As to radar cruise control, it is totally reliable. But as to Lane Departure Alert, it is years behind Tesla. I know because I have driven my wife's Tesla Model 3 countless times. In 2018, the Tesla too was often off in this regard, but four years later, it is extremely reliable in keeping to the center of the lane at all times. Whereas my Lexus, usually (almost always) behaves like it has had 3 stiff drinks of whiskey on the road, believe it or not! 😆 It weaves around in the lane, to the extent I never trust this feature. COME ON, TOYOTA! YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS!

    I have a 2019 Highlander. Occasionally, in the multi-information screen, an orange light comes on for just a second. It is LDA. But it pops up and disappears so quickly that I can never read the rest of what is being displayed. Does anyone know what this is? It has only happened a couple of times, and no, I'm not swaying or changing lanes.

    • @JordanEMAW

      You should drive in the middle. Driving anywhere else is unsafe and you will get pulled over.
