Ehhh not a fan of it. Just keep a safe distance on your own. No need to rely on AI. I prefer to be in full control. Also, what if someone cuts you off? Can you really rely on this feature to immediately brake/readjust? No thanks.
I have been using this feature to work commute every day on my 2019 RAV4 Hybrid, have found some issues of consistency. The issues are that when you are in a moderately crowded road if the car ahead of you speeds and stops at a light, DRCC fails to sense the stationery car at the lights, you either brake hard or turn off the DRCC and apply breaks - don't rely on the system to break on its own. This is all more significant when there are no illuminated brake lights from the car ahead of you. DRCC also turns off or fails to sense the traffic ahead of you in curvy roads, DRCC fails randomly and comes with an error 'connection with radar comms is lost' and turns of DRCC, The camera for collision control struggles on curvy roads and send you wrong signals of collision even though there are no vehicles ahead of you. I took the car back to service twice with my service center claiming no issues with the system. I'll keep updating my comments here to see how do I progress on resolving this issue.
This is a very dangerous function in my opinion, especially when multiple cars in a row are functioning with this control on the highway.
Radar Cruse Control is a very Dangerous Feature.
You need to press 2 buttons to activate it. Why would someone design it that way?
The dynamic system upon auto braking stops functioning at 40 mph. A warning buzz alerts you and that means you have to brake yourself. The system should NOT shut off Toyota at 40 mph!
I hated the feature found how to turn it off now works like regular cruise
You are going about 70 mph, you are in the right lane, a slow truck is ahead . you have just enough space to squez in ., you speed up , as you get close to the truck the car starts putting the brakes on for you. You have to accelerate while the car is putting on the brakes..
Yeah... It would slow down also will break till the point it will automatically stop for you... You don't wanna be in a curve and have the cruise control on... It'll stop on you! This is soooo dangerous! It almost cause me 2 accidents! I love my crew cab Yoda... I don't wanna give it up... By I might just have to🤦♂️
The fact that I had to watch this video to understand how this works, proves how poorly designed it is.
Yes!🥰 I have this on my RAV4 2018❤️💜
Hooray for Toyota C-HR for having a new Nightshade trim 😍😍😍
My Corolla 2019 has this and I love it. Although it's a manual transmission so its not quite as useful as it would be with an auto. Still really useful as long as you aren't in traffic.
i really like it
Awesome video
I can't wait to use this in my 2021 C-HR!
I LOVE MY CHR!!!❤❤❤
Excellent video explaining both systems… does anybody know if prius will have alternate controls like the one on the right? They are much more modern and easier. Turning from a Corolla Hatchback to a prius and seeing the model is antique in the prius is a turn off.
I love this feature on my new Camry.
At first, I couldn't get it right. But should I set the distance, cruise control, then set it?
