I will never buy a car with subscription based services. I just cannot take it.
Well bye
I guess it is relative to where you live in big cities I think it is worth it to pay for it. It is not a just working with a mechanical system but also software which will keep getting upgraded during the life of the car. So all the improvements they are making and money they spend on it need to be profitable.
10 year trial on toyota's subscriptions, you'll more than likely trade out before using it
skill issue
This is free I have it on my 2020 cololla se upgrade
... And you lost me with subscription.
It’s a 10 year trial before you have to pay 😂.
@@JustJenniP still not going to pay after.
Man, I love Toyota. I own a '22 Rav4 and it's the best car I've owned... but I simply cannot bring myself to buy into a subscription service. When I buy a car, I want to OWN the car - and all of it's features. Toyota using a subscription payment for the roadside safety/recovery button is fine, since it's an ongoing service... but paying to unlock my car's built-in abilities? That's a bridge too far, and something we NEED to stop before it becomes the norm.
Don't pay for subscription services from automakers. If people don't buy them, it'll show that they're not profitable, and hopefully they'll die out like the disgrace they are.
I bet comments will be disabled within the day.
LOL literally every comment is anti-subscription.
Gac ADAS and any Chinese cars don't have subscription. you are correct we already own the and feature on it. Why pay for subscription? haha
lol just buy a honda bro. nty Toyota is a lose cause, this is what happens when you favor and give to much importance to one brand, it gets to their head
As a Toyota fan, could you make a subscription for using the front left wheel?
😂
lol just buy a honda bro. nty Toyota is a lose cause, this is what happens when you favor and give to much importance to one brand, it gets to their head
Ausi for heating in the third row. Disgraceful.
Just bought my 2nd Toyota and fell in love with it.
But a subscription will make an end to this love story
lol just buy a honda bro. nty Toyota is a lose cause, this is what happens when you favor and give to much importance to one brand, it gets to their head
Subscription... used to love toyota 3 minutes ago
A subscription and a camera that watches me drive, sign me up!
lol just buy a honda bro. nty Toyota is a lose cause, this is what happens when you favor and give to much importance to one brand, it gets to their head
Let's hope my Drive Connect subscription does not expire while in Los Angeles traffic.
I always love buying products and then being required to pay a subscriptions to use what I own....
Good thing Honda and Acura dont require subscriptions for their traffic jam assist!
Yet
subscription and camera.. im out
So now a stop and go adaptive cruise needs subscription? (yes i know this adds the lane assist...)
Don't buy the subscription! We have to bond together on this!
Woah woah woah, you just added a " must have an active subscription" at the very end? I just bought a 2023 Corolla cross and did not know about this.
Subscriptions can KMA!!!
Subscription based..... Thank god I researched on this..... cuz i was on the webpage for grand highlander and saw this function, I didn't even read the the description stating this is a subscription service. Now I gotta go back to read all the fineprints and descriptions under each function making sure the rest of the functions like heated seats, blind spot monitor etc aren't subscription based.......
I wanted to see if it would be worth it to upgrade from camry le to the xle to get traffic jam assist. So not only do you need to get a higherend model, you have to get the premium package. it's also a subscription. That's so dumb ir uses the sensors and radar already on the car. Makes no sense that it has to be attached to a subscription
So this only works on the freeway, not city streets?
So it’s adaptive cruise control…but with a subscription 🤢🤮
I know it works but I hope if I go Las Vegas NV could work
I will never buy a car that requires a subscription to operate. Ill stick with my 17’ Tacoma LOL
where new mr2,yuke yuke
good invention from toyota.
Subscription? Are you fr? Bro…
how much $ is the subscription per month?
💯
Please we need best long life quality in all your products
I have not been able to find the procedure for getting the video play back from the Lexus traffic jam assist.
It is meant only for insurance companies and cops 😂😂😂
Probably on the 3.5 version
Excuse me… you said subscription? I guess my current Camry will be my last Toyota.
lolol reliability is still good on a toyota
Subscription? Hello?
Other car companies have radar cruise down to 0 mph, without subscription nonsense.
Which has this?
@@economicdevelopmentplannin8715 I drove a Mazda CX-5 that had 0 mph radar cruise... I used it going through several blocks of traffic lights w/o using throttle or brake pedals.
@@m3arvin ok. Only one I knew of was Tesla. I'll check out Mazda
Even with all that Toyota brings to the table, the subscription bothers me enough to go for another brand. Sorry, Toyota. But that's not the way.
Warning: Toyota will remove comments they don't like.
I don’t see what’s the difference between this and 2021 radar cruise control
Stop n go traffic. Yours doesn’t work under 20 mph once it fully stops, this one keeps going
@@dragonquake it works in any speeds, even at 1mph. It does require a button or pedal press to start going if it completely stops though. So perhaps that’s the difference.
@@Angelarskiyes that must be the difference. Sounds like that’s good enough then
@@Angelarskilove my 2021.
Is Toyota mak Hoover car,or a u f o
Why not just say what models it is on?
I never buy a car that requires a subscription 🤬
Toyota marketing team made a big mistake not clarifying that full-speed adaptive cruise control is free of charge as it operates solely on the hardware of the car instead of relying on internet connection.
Or at least explain to us, the peasant owners, why subscription is required for a legit reason (it is: system needs surrounding traffic information) instead of throw us nowhere.
My 2020 Kia Niro PHEV EX Premium does this without a paid subscription. Take notes Toyota. Kia and Hyundai understand what customers want.
Paid subscription...cmon toyota your better than that and a camera seeing the driver...no more privacy
Why do you need a subscription when you are already paying like $30-$40k for a car. I thought that was only a bmw thing. I mean cars aren’t EA like come on it’s a machine
A subscription, really? And all these obstacles just to use the thing.
I wish it was free too but I am willing to pay because I love the Venza and the service
Have a 2021 Toyota safety sense 2.0 and don't have a subscription. Yet. Thank goodness otherwise I'd lose my mind. Everything from security cameras, phones, tv, etc all want your dollars. Everything is going up and I just want to drive and not be nickle and dimed.
They need to make it a law where this safety system is required without subscription to everyone. What if you can't afford it get into a crash but a safety system might have saved you?
You boght the vehicle it should come with it mandatory. Everything should be yours completely.
Lol subscription. No thanks.
Imagine charging people extra for safety features after they paid $50,000 for a vehicle. What’s next an airbag fee? A seatbelt fee? A police response fee? What a joke.
I see future: -You cant start the engine, please wear the mask.
Is Toyota read for the awaking truth,I’m woke person
Guys,
Any car equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control will do this. Traffic jam assist is a marketing gimmick then mention this as a package when it’s already a standard feature
No. Traffic jam assist is more gentle with the controls to help alleviate harsh maneuvering events.
Guess I won't buy a Toyota now. I am not going to pay a subscription to use hardware built into the car.
Looks like Tesla is Toyota's role model or may be spirit airlines. Apart from building cars with cheap plastic interiors, we need to pay money to use it? Nah. Honda has better interiors and no subscription
lol just buy a honda bro. nty
lol just buy a honda bro. nty Toyota is a lose cause, this is what happens when you favor and give to much importance to one brand, it gets to their head
If you need a driver monitor camera to make sure youre paying attention and a monthly subscription service that helps you drive in traffic, you SHOULD NOT BE ON THE ROAD!
Disliked due to "Active Subscription required"
