    Can you replace the conventional cruise control with a speed limiter?
    I mean I want to set a speed that I can't exceed.
    I find it much more interesting than setting a speed to maintain. ACC is much better for that.

    So driving on a highway, I encounter heavy construction and Toyota expects me to go through all of these menus while driving? What happens if a big rig's tire is blown and some tire or debris heads in my direction? Will my car break at high speed or prevent me from swerving to avoid the debris?

    • @JoseMaloof
      @JoseMaloof Před 6 měsíci

      No, Toyota expects you to have chosen your poison (aka setup your Choices) before going out your garage. These are safety features to assist you, assist. They don't substitute comun sense driving decisions for you.

    • @rons.1982

      I understand. I still find them terribly distracting. I've asked my dealer to disable them permanently if I'm not really given a choice to use them. Why does LTA need to have cruise control on? Why can’t LTA just work without having to use cruise control. With Honda vehicles, their LTA can operate without radar cruise control on. Also, the gentle lane keep steering assist is quite weak with LDA, I find that this quite easy to still go over the lane lines. Again, it works much better in Hondas

    Well, so far, my new Corolla Hybrid acts more like it's possessed by evil spirits. Several times now my car has insisted on braking to a full stop for no apparent reason. This is merely annoying as hell while I'm in a rural area like I am right now. But I'm going to Dallas soon in this car and unless I can discover why the car is behaving this way and stop it from doing this, it will be very dangerous to operate this vehicle in heavy freeway traffic like I'll be driving in in Texas. The way I feel about it right now, I''d like to disable Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 completely!
