You can always tell something corporate because you can see the obvious flaws and the rigid adherence to certain forms or standards, and then you realize that none of it was corrected because, in that same corporate environment, the bosses are always right, and there are a thousand heads nodding yes to every proposal.

Highly suggest you call a 4Runner friend in case these Land Cruiser needs help. BTW those Sat communicators a very good advice. I always keep in my vehicle, thankfully never had to use it for an emergency. Only used to send update and location where we are and what we are doing. Love the location pin drop so don't have to explain in words where we are. This video also remind be that I should look at buying paper maps as so far I'm relying on digital offline maps.
I have maps of almost every state. All the highway visitor centers have them for free and some have topographical maps. Just buy a compass and you’re good to go
LOL. 4Runners are great vehicles for sure, but child's play in comparison to the legendary LCs. (And having owned a 100 series for 20 years, now a 200 series for 5 years, and a handful of 4Runners and Pathfinders...I can back this up 😊.). But will this new Gen 250 LC have the same backbone and longevity as the last 2-3 gens??? Or just another (very good) Toyota SUV? I fear the latter. I've seen no Toyota proclamations of 'built for a 25 year service life", like the last 2(+?) generations. ???
Believe me my 2004 Land Cruiser has never once let me down. Not Once. 226k miles runs like a dream. Buy a Land Cruiser you won’t Regret it 😊

@@toyotausaMy secret: synthetic oil (Mobil1) and premium matching filter every 7.5-10k miles (more frequent if towing or super hot summers). 197k miles one-owner (me) trouble free miles. Timing belt, WP, thermostat and new lifetime OEM Toyota coolant at 110k,... and due for another. Seafoam and/or bottle of fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank 2-3x per year.

Ya and adding all the wheight of a hybrid power train is ill advised. Top it off with competing in the same size category as the 4 runner and sequia... not gonna sell

@@joshr805 A hybrid power train can easily handle alot of weight. The ICE + Electric power train just needs to be beefy enough for the job. A Land Cruiser is relatively tiny for a properly engineered hybrid power train.
@Sopohayo640 Freaking 100K lbs Semi trucks should be hybrid. You just need the appropriate sized hybrid power train to make it rock solid reliable. I hope Toyota has it figured out after almost 3 decades.

The 2024 LC we ordered is stuck in QC purgatory at the distribution center in NJ. A 56 day hold according to the northeast dealers. We’re disappointed….

The roads didn't look challenging enough for me to consider getting a Land Cruiser over another vehicle. I know you can do better than this! Give it to some experienced 4x4 drivers and do the same, but without any roads ... One team from the middle of Australia (or some desolate place in Africa) and one team in Alaska or similar snowy place. Maybe 3 teams, Alaska (snow), Australia (desert) and Africa (deep jungle and mud) ... :) My old 1992 Land Cruiser Prado that I had when I lived in Africa (2005-2007) took me home even on worse roads than this.
But any way, if I had the money to buy a Grenadier or similar, I wouldn't, I would get a new Toyota Land Cruiser. Unfortunately I do not have the money, so my closest option is a used Toyota Hilux (I live in Sweden) ...
I noticed a big weird skinny lookin helicopter with a star on the side, (exactly like that one in the beginning of the video) sitting out front of the hangar to the North of ours a few months ago in Durango Colorado. This must have been staged in the 4 Corners area.
