    I'm glad you actually reviewed this product, I started out on the OG Wizard x220, and though it did have problems, it WAS great to learn on. This one looks similarly ready for a new person to the hobby. Better than the one I had. The split top for easy access/repairs (VERY important, likely gonna be in and out of that bad boy all the time, if it's anything like what I went through), the carbon bumper at the front, the thicker top and bottom plate, nice battery pad, nice antenna mount, nice antenna, much better cam then the original. The arms are narrower, but still sturdy, the frame plates sandwich together using press nuts now, instead of nylocks, saving weight and making disassembly MUCH more straightforward. The motor guard issue is dumb, the tpu skids are the reason you cant get the motor bolts tight enough to keep the motor guards still, and it's just not a viable setup. People will either ditch the skids, add the foam landing pads, and get new motor screws, or they will over tighten the screws in the current config, touch the motor windings with said screws, and have REAL problems with shorts, overheating motors, and some will destroy motors/ESC's like crazy before they sort all that out. That being said, the receiver they ship with has poor range and is easy to failsafe. So there are some obvious improvements to make early on. That's a good thing. New ppl are going to crash and break this SO much, it's cool that they have upgrades to easily add and appreciate as they slog through all their learning mistakes.

    This brings back those late 2016 summer memories! 😊🔥I like the revamped version with 5mm thick arms. Major plus! The biggest problem i see is that there isn't 8 stand offs only 6, also doesn't have side plates to add top plate strength. That'll become an issue possibility cracking or snapping over time, the original had side plates that would pop out in intense crashes and it helped keep the top plate from snapping. Nonetheless I'd still recommend this to anyone interested in getting into FPV.. Solid 8 out of 10 IMHO..

    • @noforyoutubepremium3108
      @noforyoutubepremium3108 Před 3 lety

      No way! Ultra low quality parts used in Eachine products fail much more often and aren't parts you want to reuse on new builds when you crash this and bust it up. It's disposable! The parts are not something worth using in another build.
      Plus, if you do want to attempt to keep this in the air it costs you a lot more than a quality product does because these cheap parts fail and break so much easier. I've found, from buying this junk, that it costs more to keep this in the air for a year than it does a quality brand quad, because of all the repairs these junk brand quads need vs. the quality brands! 🤔👍

    • @mikeflightfpv2162
      @mikeflightfpv2162 Před 3 lety

      @@noforyoutubepremium3108 Sure, from an established hobbyist standpoint of view, that may be the case. But, for a beginner's perspective, I GREATLY disagree. Myself and 4 others all started with this set up, sure there's alot that can be better. But anyone can say that about anything. 🤣😂

    • @noforyoutubepremium3108
      @noforyoutubepremium3108 Před 3 lety

      @@mikeflightfpv2162 Bottom of the line parts = fails more & breaks more = costs a lot more than the original price tag = probably double in two years! + once it's toast and you're sick of repairing it, those parts aren't what you'd want to use for another build. Too poor quality, so you dispose of the whole quad!
      Quality quad = breaks less, fails less = costs less than Eachine junk over a 1 or 2 year period. + parts are good quality = you can reuse them in a new build sometime!
      = A BETTER OVERALL VALUE! + CHEAPER IN THE LONG RUN! =(;^)-

    Wow! A PDB and ESC's on the arms! Did I just go through a time travel portal back to 2016?
    Most will think this seems like a good way to start, but 5" are so highly overrated, except for back in 2016, and before. Back then, there wasn't small, miniaturized gear to be able to make smaller quads, so everyone built and flew 5", because that's the smallest size we had. No way I'd start flying with a 5" now because they are so heavy that every hard crash has the potential of breaking your quad. Since who0ps to 3" are so much lighter, when they crash they do less damage to themselves on impact! So, I suggest new people to the hobby start flying smaller, lighter quads. I loved getting much improved flying in acro mode (fully manual) with a who0p. No damage when it crashed, and beginners crash constantly, and easy to fly anywhere... even inside your house! That's important, because you need the stick time to get muscle memory going with operating the sticks.
    You also have to have a lot of room to fly a 5", and the noise attracts a lot of attention from neighbors, etc. The smaller the quad the less noise it typically makes.
    Not a fan of Eachine because they always use the cheapest, low quality parts possible and that always results in having to replace boards, motors, etc. This makes the overall cost of flying Eachine quads high because of all the repair costs typically needed to keep this in the air for a year or two.
    I learned this through experience flying these low end quads and now know to avoid them. They end up costing more over a year or two than the top name brand quads that use quality parts, because those simply don't break nearly as often.
    Anyway, learn the hard way and buy this stuff, or learn from my experience buying this low end gear... Your choice! Just trying to save you some cash, and make the hobby easier for you right out of the gate! 😎🤘
    PS
    Plus, if you buy the better quality gear and it does break or when you get more experienced and you want to rebuild it or swap parts to something else, you can use the quality parts from a name brand quad, where you won't want to do that with these parts. You'll understand that more once you become a seasoned veteran in the FPV hobby. Quality parts = good... reuse them on another project, cheap junk parts = garbage. 😉

    • @audiogek
      @audiogek Před 3 lety

      5" are still my favorite, with separate esc's on the arms. The 4in1's just keep dying and have to trow away an esc which is basically only 25% dead. And anything smaller than 5" just doesn't fly like I want it to fly.
      But I totally agree on buying cheap or expensive stuff. Just build yourself one with quality parts that have proven durability.

    In my humble opinion, this does not seem a good beginner kit. It will break and malfunction very soon. You should buy something a little bit more expensive so it can last on the long run
