This is a great video that captures the inevitable injuries of training for peak performance and being human - all while learning your body.
I have always noticed you may be over arching your lower back in the squat, especially at the bottom. That may be related to the back injury. Perhaps experiment more with finding a more neutral spine for load bearing?
That arch in the low back puts the hips in a certain position (tilt) and stretches the hams more.
Just a thought. Wishing you the best.

When you were jumping lower on the ATG training, did you change any other aspect of your training? Like were you still jumping, dunking, playing b-ball at the same intensity/frequency?
The only reason ATG probably didn’t make immediately jump higher, is because two foot jumping relies a lot more on raw strength like full squat, and the start of ATG is all lighter and unilateral. The absolute strength of your body was the limiting factor of your jumping height at that time, and you started to lose some of that absolute strength when you started ATG intro lifting.
