Turned out great man! Really want to build something like this.
+Crafted Magazine saw your message on IG, I'll hit you up soon. Thanks!
Looks fantastic!!
Thanks, David!
I guess I thought I had seen this before and I've skipped over it many times. I am SOOOO glad I watched it this time. I really like this frame. And I did not know that you could paint the glass and then laser it. And what a great idea to paint the back white. I love this.
+Angie Overton thanks, Angie!
Great job Brad! Videos are looking great!
+I Like To Make Stuff thanks, Bob! I'm having a lot of fun getting into it and the creative side of editing. And I've got lots of great guys and gals to learn from!
fancy seeing you here.
This is the kind of stuff that makes me want a laser something fierce! Awesome job.
+Josh Dirkson lasers are fun for sure!
Nice use of the Church On the Move sound track! Love this sign!
+McLarty Woodworks thanks, Geoff!
That laser is amazing!! Got a great idea for my hubby's Christmas gift now! Lol. Great job!
That would be a wicked Christmas present!
Wish my wife would drop $2500 on me for Christmas! 🤣🤣🤣
Nice job, Brad! Looking forward to more.
+Stone and Sons Workshop thanks, Shawn!
Man you made that frame build look so easy, I make glass art and I'm trying to find out how to backlight it in a frame but I'm not so adept at woodworking.
Nice Video thanks Brad. Quick question - what type of tool was used at the very beginning cutting your frame? Thinking of a birthday gift for Hubby :)
It's a Micro Jig Grr-Ripper, you can see it here: amzn.to/2b5ilFV (affiliate link). It's an awesome tool!
Can you use any kind of spray paint for the etched side of glass? What kind of settings for the laser?
Very nice Brad.
+Patrick's Work Shop thanks, Patrick!
Like it. I like it a lot. I'm going to do something along these lines. I just saw the one you helped Johnny at Crafted Workshop etch. Need to get it done quick. I'll need it by the 4th.
+ManCraftingTM yeah, you can bust this out in one day pretty easiliy. Thanks for coming over!
Beautiful job! Love this sign.
Great job 👍👍👍
Awesome build. Keep up the good work.
Spare laser machine lying about?😂😂😂
awesome video!
Nice job Brad. I love it.
+Mike Kapotsy thanks, Mike!
Great project, looks awesome.
+John LaFon thanks, John!
Wow, that laser is amazing!!! Looks pretty sweet brad! 👊
+Mac n Wood Yeah, Ryan, this thing is legit!
Great Build and Video. Well Done. Barry (from England)
+Barry Roberts thank you, Barry! It was a fun one.
Very nice!
Thanks!
Not enough time spent on lasering the glass. What glass is that, and how do you have black turn to white when lasering? You flew past that with not much explanation.
Just curious as to why you lasered the front instead of doing the reverse on the back of the glass to protect the finish?
I had to etch off the black spray paint. It wouldn't work the other way
Fix This Build That I understood the way it worked I meant why shouldn't you spray the back and do it that way?
Incredible! Turned out awesome!
+Digital Swagg appreciate it!
Do you recall the power and speed settings that you used for the laser?
+superlazyorg I'm wanting to say it was in the neighborhood of 25 speed and 60 to 80 power. But not certain.
Cool, thanks for the reply! I assume that's 25 mm/sec; and 60-80% of the max power of 40 watts, right?
Thanks for a great video. One question. Did you laser mirrored in back or through black paint in front?
+Munawar Soomro through the paint on the front. Then covered the back with white paint
Thanks
That was awesome brother that Laser does a nice job. I'll have to put that on my to do list. keep creating
+Opa's Workshop thanks, man! It's a fun project and so easy to customize too.
Great work!
+Techture thanks!
love the sign!
Thanks, Brian!
what table saw do you own?
It's a SawStop Industrial
Very cool Brad!
thanks, Donny!
Yeah I'll just factor in the money for the laser machinery...😂
how the hell can I make something like this without a $3k laser engraver?
+Aaron Nguyen Ike I said in the video, you can use vinyl stickers (cheap to buy on Etsy) and spray paint then peel away the vinyl to leave the negative impression.
Booooom, now thats awesome
cool
lol, that intro triggered me a deja vu
Looks great but over £3000 pounds for the laser, not an economical build.
NAWWW SO YOUNG :)
Sign is Badass. But for us putz's with no laser.....all we can do I a nice light box.
+Michael Zellner instead of etching you could also use vinyl stickers and spray over it then remove the sticker for a negative effect. Still need access to vinyl stickers but those are much easier to acquire.
Awesome idea. That makes this a complete DYI! Thank you!
Awesome idea. That makes this a complete DYI! Thank you!
its weird to see him without a beard
