How can I get to you I am in Liberia
I love this, I'm going to make my company logo like this to use on my table at art shows!
Glad you like it. Thanks
That's badass, man. i really like the letter outline rather than solid letters. Also the mirror outline is way cooler than plain clear acrylic. Nice work
+gokblok Thanks
OK YOU'RE OFFICIALLY MY HERO!!!
Aye boss, I just made one of these for my little brother for christmas following this tutorial but using my own designs and I gotta say this thing turned out amazing, I used colored leds so that that etching shows up multicolored and it's awesome, thank you so much for this amazing and easy idea
You havce the tools to qualify as a DIY enthusiasts wet dream. Great videos with clear cut instructions. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks
As an updated touch you can get super fine etchings using a Brother Scan N Cut with Zoom's etching tool. The Scan N Cut can handle materials up to 3mm thick. In this case it would be used in draw mode with the etching tool inserted into the tool head. There are three different tip sizes (broad, medium, fine). You then adjust the settings for the cutter to those specified in the instructions for that particular tool. The machine will produce an estimated time to completion on its 5 inch color touchscreen display. Once done it will eject the mat and material loaded onto it.
Hi I'm korea signman입니다 영상 잘보고 갑니다!
멋있어요!
Very nice work. I'm thinking of making Xmas gifts for my family with their names. Adds a really personal touch when you give family something you made with your own hands. Thanks! I just subscribed btw. Thanks again...
superb intuition !
awsome vlog !!
Really great, somehow I must fit this inside my PC Case (Phanteks Luxe). The idea is really nice and it would look awesome.
PreBCFan1 I'm assuming that you already did it, but based on my memory of that case, it should be fairly easy to install the plexi with lightstrip directly to the side panel with adhesive strips or the like.
If you already completed it, do you have pics on pcpartpicker?
you know what i like with techydiy is that he is very creative with awesommne ideas and he respond on your comment not like other channels you ask them and they don't respond so love you techydiy
Thanks
jeanne bitar >> The reason why most DIY channels doesen't respond to a lot of people is due to the sheer number of subscribers and comments. It is impossible to keep up with almost all the comments, while still posting new content, if a channel has a lot of subs. A day only lasts 24 hours and most of that time is used on sleeping 😊 But awesome videos anyways. Got a few logos of my own, that I definitely will try out at some point
Excellent narration, great work!
Its a perfect idea for a company logo
I luv it great job mate!
un genio personas como esta hay que darle un premio por su intelecto por sus grandes capacidades me encanto es perfecto muy muy bueno

Thanks
really cool stuff
This is Awesome Creation Sir . .
Keep it on Sir . .
Thanks
Good job bro (y) i like it
Your work is very beautiful man, thanks alot.
What the depth of engraving?!
gorgeous!
thanks
Awesome work you have made
Thanks a lot 😊
fascinating program
I like the idea.
Suggest sanding-sealer on all wood surfaces to fill grain and sanding marks, fine sand to create smooth surface, then a couple of coats of gloss black acrylic paint followed by a gloss clearcoat, and your base will look professional and high-tech to match the project (rather than country-rustic with the raw wood, which also shows fingerprint stains after time from oils, hard to clean off dust, etc.).
I would also put some aluminum foil on the ends and cover with tape then paint black to minimize light leakage.
excellent work I will try to make one for my man cave /home theater
Thanks
Great! Congratulations! I'm from Rio, Brasil. What drill used in Dremel ? Thanks !
That's fantastic work 👍I really love that.thank you so much for sharing. Hey by the way do you sale those? If you do how much would you charge to make? I would love to order one. Dj.m.smooth
Looks great, maybe work well with silhouette faces. I'd love to make one for family + friends. Though my ocd would have me drill a hole into the Base block and a little channel to the back of the Base for the wire. Hate visible wires 😳😳
+No-Ones Home Thanks for the comment
greate job, does it workx with a cristal glass mirror?
Awesome.
Nice project !! looks clean i love that !! just suscribed to your channel keep up the good work!!
+SEB TECH DIY thanks
@8:25 - reminded me of the jumping jack...lolzzz
Awesome! Thank you
Thanks
Love your DIYs,
a quickie (?) though, is there anyway we could give the illusion mirror effect to an acrylic emblem/sign themed light??
Yes, you can combine the two. Engrave the rear mirror (preferably laser engraved), edge light it and then put a two way mirror in front. It gives a 3d effect to the engraving. The right design would look cool.
I have been meaning to build one as a project for a few years now but never got around to it. However I did mock it up at one point and it worked.
This is absolutely amazing! I definitely want to try this out. You make it look so easy but I'm guessing it took a lot of practice. How long have you been doing them and how often? How long does it take to complete?
Thanks for uploading. Keep up the good work. I'm subscribing now, without a doubt!
It was the third one I have made, the engraving is fairly easy. A couple of hours to make all of it.
techydiy And how many of those mirror lights could you make out of the whole led strip do you think?
Depends how long the strip is, 3 per meter or 1 for every foot roughly
machane poli
ive had a stack of plexi in my garage that came from hardware store scrap... hated cutting the shit by scoring.. on a recommendation I got a 80 tooth blade for my miter saw. 27 bucks at harbor freight has made cutting plexi a easy. Bonding 2 pieces does not require expensive glue/weld liquid unless you are using the really expensive double linked lexan plexi. simple hardware store acetone and clamping for a few hrs will create the same bond.
nice work..................
+SHOAIB ASHRAF thanks
techydiy ....welcome brother
How do u price this work? Keep on with ur amazing work! Respect!
The best ENGLISH 👍👍👍👍
Lovely
It's great! I'm just wondering if you could just use a scalpel instead of buying an engraver? seeing as it only needs a light scratch to show the light? Thanks, R
+Samson Horton yes that would work. Thanks
Wow nice work 👍👍👍
Thanks
We make these at my job but using a cnc but its cool seeing done by hand
Another great piece of work!
Two questions, though:
1) How do you prevent the Dremel from damaging the ruler while engraving, and
2) How deep do you have to engrave? Just scratch the surface, or halfway through the material?
Thanks for the great ideas.
The engraver I used vibrates rather than rotates, so it does not damage the edge of the ruler. The engraving iss not very deep, 0.5 - 1mm, it only takes a scratch to show the light. Thanks for your comments.
Do you have to engrave the edges in order for the light to reflect? Thanks, awesome video
No
Very cool like it...
+Iyon Channel Thanks
Súper Cool Super excelent.
Nice. Thanks.
Could you use a frosted vinyl decal instead of etching with a dremel?
Awesome
Hi, you can record the letters with a laser cut instead of the dremel??
Great video!! I'm looking to make some Star Wars ones :)
Cool
Awesome design, very inspiring! Can you engrave outside the premade stencil letters? Or for mass production, can you make letter A-Z numbers 0-9 using heavy-duty cardboard? Also, is it possible to combine the USB LED strip with hybrid solar-powered battery? The battery can be hidden inside the wood panel, with the solar strip glued in the back facing the windows, then you would have a perpetual LED sign. Obviously you can spend more money using the scan&cut machine to automate the process. Haha... just a thought, from a not-so-diy-adept person.
+1to1class Yes you could do all of that. Thanks for the ideas
Great work! I think its kind of a odd/random thing to put on there, but who and I to say?! Haha
keep up the great work!
We like random!
so educative
Thanks 🙏🏻
Hello. I have a vintage glass sign without the lightbox. What would you charge to make me a custom lighted stand to fit my sign? The sign is 12 inches long X 8 inches tall. The thickness of the glass is about an 8th of an inch. Thanks.
awesome job !
Thanks for that
Great video. One question. Can you tell me why in thr Star wars Video you used the foil to reflect light but not here??
+JeRenia Foster It doesn't make a significant difference to the end result
awesome bro.... will you plz make a video on holografic effect arts.....???
+Abhijeet Gawali thanks, I will have a look.
Good job 👍,
"Sv "
Which font was used for this sign? Could you convert the lettering to .dxf or .jpg to have it laser engraved?
I really want to make one of these but I have only ever used a drill before ahaha
Wow wow
Thanks
pinch emoji worthy
👌
super !!!!!!!!!!!!!
nice video
Good Idea !
Thanks!
nice one dude
Thanks
Do you think I could solder using a switching adapter if it’s the correct voltage?
I am not quite sure what you mean. You can use a switch mode power supply.
techydiy oh thank you. I found out for myself. I was just wondering if the label on the adapter has to say DC power adapter. Mine works but it says ‘switching adapter’.
Hey techydiy I love the work you do! I'm looking to make some of these for my business, where can I find more information (like instructions written on paper or typed on a website) to create these pieces of art? They are extravagant and seem so simple to make, so I'd love to try and make one this summer!
All of the parts links are in the video description. Here is the website:www.techydiy.org/xmen-led-edge-lit-acrylic-mirror-sign/
Thanks
techydiy also I'm looking to find more stencils other than the x-men one. Do you know where I can find some other designs?
You could search for stencil images or line art images on Google. There are also lots of stencils books available; try Amazon or a bookshop.
I learn about the mirror acrylic design 2 yrs pass o decide to make church sign board tru mirror design that have light inside to have view of the church thank 4 share
7:50 what are those adaptors called?
can i use glass instead?
Nigel, have you tried combining the edge-lit design with the infinity mirror design?? I'm super curious to know if you can engrave into either the front side partial reflector or a third middle sheet of clear acrylic sandwiched between the back and front reflector, and then still see the scattered light exiting from the engraved pattern. I think you're more qualified to try this before I do :)
Yes, I have and will publish a project fairly soon. With the sheet in the middle approach you also get another set of weaker reflections, making the 3d effect more solid.
Awesome!! Looking forward to it. Or maybe I'll beat you to it... :)
Follow-up: have you tried the infinity mirror setup with two partial reflectors rather than an opaque backside reflector? I assume that it would produce weaker reflections (not as much infinity..) but be visible from both sides??
What the likely hood of the wires catching on fire? does it produce enough voltage to burn?
The led strip voltage is 12 volts, so it's a safe voltage to work with. The led strip generates a very small amount of heat which is easily dissipated, so no it doesn't get hot.
👍👍👍
you can make it with double stage with different colors..do you kow how? 😀😀
Молодец
good comment :D
where can you buy the acrylic mirror sheets and LED light strips? I live in Michigan
+robert peters The online links are in the video description
Veri good
+ganesh yadav thanks
Awosome
cool..
Excelent
Thanks
Nice work
Need to know
What's the name of that engraving machine ..???
amzn.to/2oc2PBi
a lot of expensive tools were used in the making of a mirror.. if you dont have these tools you better of just buying the mirror already made. Other then that awesome DIY!!!
