So cute
This is really nice..
Been trying to do the same for some time but always a fail.
Been trying on 2mm acrylic , do you think that's good or should I go for higher.
Can you share the speed and heat?
You make it look so easy, Thank you, Now I know where to start
You’re welcome 😊I know you can do this!
Anamika your job is super 🎉
thanks!
hi its wonderful project. How do you clean the fingerprints on acrylic? I have tried but full of scratch now please help. Thanks
I seen a few videos of this sort and I came up with an idea, what about adding a wallpaper on the pexi glass by gluing it or adhering it... Then adding some light to it by cutting some random portions out of the pexi glass... Hope this helps you, let me know how it goes. Blessings.
Do you think this method would work to emboss fondant? Im trying to make stamps that emboss fondant and I wonder if I could use this method to make my own acrylic stamps? This would be so awesome if I could get it to work! Please let me know your thoughts. Like would it be deep enough to create an embossing effect or not. Thank you.
What thickness do you use for your acrylic sheets? I’m thinking that using a 1/4” thick piece of acrylic sheet is going to be too thick for the Cricut Maker to slide under the machine’s rollers. Pretty cool project! I’m thinking about doing a few of these!
Olá.. qual lâmina do cricut que vc usou?
Excellent Work!
Could you please send me a link from where I can buy this.
Hello, good job, can you tell me the size of plexiglass u use is it 2mm or 4 mm??
Hey Anika, this is brilliant, and I hope to adapt the concept to create a prop for my Doctor Strange costume this fall... How deep do you need to engrave the acrylic for the etching to light up?
Not much at all. I couldn't give you a number, but it isn't more than 1 mm. PS: I love the idea of the Dr Strange costume!! would love to see that!
Any chance I could just buy the base with the light and the wood grooved for an A4 or Letter size portrait?
Hello, can you pls let me know the model of table saw as the link doesn't work it says acces denied
Thank you, much appreciated
Do you think it's a good idea to make them and sell them as an e-commerce project ?
What happens when the lights stop working? How do you change them out
What depth does the engraving have to be?
Are you using any type of sanding around the edges to trap the light in? If so, all sides but where the light is?? Any thing you are using on the plexiglass to make it shine like that?? Was the plexiglass cheaper than acrylic? Thank you in advance.
Plexiglass and acrylic are pretty much the similar in price for the thickness I used. I did not have to etch it. The act of cutting causes enough rough edges to get the effect.
Very nice! Question, what is the scroll saw you used to cut the acrylic?
yes same question
I don't see how you're able to do this. I tried 2 different LED strips and they just can't properly light up my acrylic sign. Mostly it's a faint light near the top where the strip is.
Good morning afternoon!can the cricut explore air 2 do this?? R is it only the cricut maker??
It is only the maker
What is the name of this glass sheet
Would this work with polycarbonate instead of acrylic too?
I'm not sure, maybe? Try it and let me know!
Hi where u buy ur machine and how much u pay
The name of machine of carving plz very wonderful work
Check description, it's a Cricut with an engraving bit. It's linked in the blog article.
What software you use for this Machine?
It is Cricut design space
What's the printer you used to engrave the acrylic?
Its the Cricut Maker
Is that a laser engraving machine ? what is the cost for the same ?
Its the Cricut Maker. It isn’t a laser engraver. It just uses an engraving tool
what is the name or model of machine you have cut acrylic
It's a Cricut Maker
i apologize in advance: i am using this information to build my own shift knob lighting for my car
is there a company or website that can do this for me? haha. Im not so good at DIY's
what saw did you use for cutting your acrylic. I didn't see any replys in comments below
I use a Bladerunner X2 to cut it but you can also use a jigsaw. The trick is to go slow and supporting the acrylic so it doesn’t vibrate too much
@@Anikasdiylife Thank you for your prompt reply
