Elegant Acrylic LED Decoration - How to Make a Edge Light Sign Emblem

- I'm thrilled to introduce you to the world of engraved acrylic. By using our homemade engraving tool we built last week, we can engrave basically any shapes on a piece of clear acrylic. By using powerful LED lights the image, numbers or letters will light up. Here's a couple of things you will need:

Clear acrylic, preferably 4mm thick, can be found in your local hardware store. In Sweden the clear acrylic was $7 (4mm) and $4.5 (2mm), with a size of 300x300mm. As mentioned in the video, the base can be made from basically any material. I used scrap pieces of wood, and a pieceof 6mm white foam. - Zábava

Looks like you should invest in a small band saw or scroll saw for the acrylic cuts. Awesome job man!

Awesome sign! We just made one from wood with LEDs around the outside, but I think this acrylic design is definitely something we will do in the future! 😁

awesome easy project! fyi i recently learned how to clean acrylic...first, use some brush cleaner (artists use this for their paint brushes) on a shop towel or paper towel to wipe the whole surface. Then I used Meyer's multipurpose spray to wipe the whole piece, then finally, sprayed water and wiped dry with a paper towel. Got the acrylic so clean!
