I believe the "dirtiness" on the parts is residue from the mold release. This is a kit that definitely needs to be preassembled, because of the bumper and grill issues. I learned that the same way you did.😮💨 I also had the same problem with the decal stripe tearing in the exact same spot, and I had use Mark Fit to try to get them to lay down smooth. I seen that Round Two is releasing a John Wick Chevelle this month and I wonder if it's this kit repackaged. If so, I hope they cleaned up the mold. Issues aside, I just bought this kit again, hoping to build it better knowing what I do about it. Thanks for sharing, I really like the styling you went with on the build.🤓👍
HEY-DAR 👊😎👍: I got this kit when Walmart first brought back kits about 2 years ago for 12 bucks. Now I got the van, the trailer, and two sets of RED ALERT decals just waiting for me. Yes, nice rim selection. Dont you have smaller drill bits? Hey that pink thing in the background is that a bong? 🥴 I assume you test fit before glueing & mock-up before final assembly? I've seen a bunch of builders have issues with closing hoods at final assembly. I think that's were I got that saying: It's Only Plastic, handle It! This is an old issue when I first looked mine over I wasn't to happy with it, but ol well, it is what it is. Watch You Later, (MODEL CAR😎MAN CAVE)
Chevelle looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chevelle build turn out very nice awesome work 👍🏻
Nice job! Thanks for the tips on the trouble spots of this kit.
Good job. The car looks great.
The build turned out nice in spite of kit and paint issues. The white stripes look great with that blue paint and those chrome wheels.
thank you, much appreciated.
It's a great kit but very challenging. They give you a base it's what you make of it. Great job❤
thank you Terry.
Awesome build John besides the issues!! The dirt stuff is weird, I had that on the 55 Bel Air I just finished, crazy lol!
Turned out looking good! Really like the blue you chose & the wheels look great on it
Thank you
Despite the issues, it looks pretty cool John, ⛄🎄👍
thank you.

not a bong, water spray bottle I stole from my wife. I do have smaller drill bits lol. Thanks for watching.
The paint issues almost sound like the clear coat reacting with the color coat.
Nice job on the chevelle John even with the issues it looks good I might have some stripes if you want to try that hood again?
thanks for the offer Jeff, but I think it will be fine. How is the family doing?
