You couldn't have ended this review and build any better by playing some Foghat and Slow ride as Melba toast is spinning showing off all her beautiful curves. Looks really nice and I wish I could build one just like it but I am actually building one to give to my brother as a tribute to his blue Chevelle that he owned back in the day.
Boyd, the body of that thing looks like it was made out of metal instead of plastic. The stuff your putting out is top notch, brother! I’m looking forward to seeing the Disco-prise after you get the decals applied.
Nice car! Like I've said on another modeling channel, the designers really knew what they were doing in the 1960s and 1970s with car designs. Amazing to think this car was designed over 50 years ago!
Boyd, thank you for all the informative videos. I've been with your site since 2014 after starting to build models again after 35 years. As for your issue over speed when buffing your model, I use a little drill (12V) I picked up at Harbor Freight for around $15. From Amazon I picked up a variable (3-12V) power supply for $10. I can adjust the speed down from it's 12V easily. I primarily use it for micro drilling star ship holes but will certainly now use it for buffing too! Thanks. Robert A from UT.
All the work you put into the body finish was worthwhile- it's utterly convincing. It doesn't look at all like plastic, it looks like Detroit Iron covered with automotive lacquer and Turtle Wax. I can aaaaalmost see the solder joints between the rear quarter panels and the roof pillars.
I grew up with those cars and when you see them restored supposedly to "factory" at car shows today, they are way too perfect. Especially the fit and finish. The original cars had uneven gaps, and although decent, the paint jobs didn't look like they were a mile deep.
@@TrekWorks Oh, I'm 67 and grew up with them too- I remember fit and finish going to hell in the late 50s or so. It's like the US carmakers just quit caring. If your model were blown up to full scale I'm sure we'd both see holidays in the paint, lumps in the chrome and fit issues but at scale, it's as close to perfect as it gets. My point was that you managed to make plastic look like painted waxed metal. Stop arguing with me already and just take the compliment, okay? ;>)
Totally awesome build boyd, she looks real sweet, another great movie car that probably gets overlooked but would be great for an upcoming build in the future also would be Dirk Diggler's(Mark Wahlberg's) orange 1970's Corvette from the 1997 film Boogie Nights which I recently watched again, just a suggestion?,awesome car also, will have to go back and watch Dazed & Confused again now though but, keep up the awesome work, cheers
The Chevelle came out beautifully! Any chance you would consider a full tutorial on your next model scale car? I’d love to learn from one of the greats 👍🏻
Alright, alright, alright! I've learned so much from you over the last 8 years that I've been watching your videos, and I've been modelling for about 30 years. I'm wondering if there's anything that you can't do. You even made a real Christine! Aaaaand now I have to listen to the Dazed and Confused soundtrack.
Hello Boyd. Looks awesome!!! Ever thought about installing lights ? You do fantastic work on lighting the Sifi models. Wonder what you'd need for cars? Enjoy the day. Ray L
Great build, have you tried or going to build and light the new 1/32 Star Trek shuttle would help others in tips on build, and also see what you could do with interior
Awhile back saw your Galileo build ,fantastic, just purchased the new 1/32 Galileo but it has no interior,do you know where I can get resin parts like you had in yours ,thanks
Stunning, especially as you've travelled back from 2021 to upload it :) Did you use the slingshot manoeuvre, the Guardian of Forever or open a Temporal Vortex?
A few commenters said something about time travel etc. I wasn't getting it until I noticed my goof on the credits. Maybe it was just wishful thinking because so far, 2020 has really sucked for a lot of people :(
Another commenter mentioned that and I wasn't getting it. Then I noticed my goof on the date in the credits. Wishful thinking I guess since almost everyone thinks 2020 has really sucked so far.

That period was the pinnacle of design for cars and a lot of other things.

Thanks, some great music on that soundtrack. I've grown to appreciate that movie a lot more over time.

Absolutely incredible, makes me want to jump in and drive it away!
I wish I could too!
@@TrekWorks that's dam nice work.great on how you showed everyone on how to paint polish etc
did this model come with a joint man?
it'd be a lot cooler if it did!
Alright alright alright!
That one line made a superstar out of Matthew McCaunehey.

Try the Tack Life rotary tool. It sins slow
Looks amazing. What do you use to paint the chrome trim
A silver Sharpie marker and topped with Alclad aqua gloss with a small brush.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Slow Ride❗😊
How did you get the grill in? Mine doesn’t line up.
Is there a step in the clear where the decals are or does the 2K level out?

Any kind of issues with the model, I am gonna be building it
You mean July 2020? Not 2021 :) If it had been the delorean I may of believed you hahaha
