Haven't really been fishing since we were schoolkids - and that's a year or 2 ago! Picked up a little tinny at a sale on a whim but that's just sat in the corner of the shed getting buried in junk for decades now. On another topic we only ever caught 1 "blood fish" when we used to go out around Double Island and the Scout's Hat off Palm Cove Beach in the school holidays - a bonita. Wasn't too bad eating after an old beachcomber showed us how to bleed and cook it. 😉 Nice to see your "fishy" artwork is still pristine. 😊
Most people today would not of heard the term blood fish used for tuna's. The sculpture of the fish is as good as the day it was made. That stainless steel lasts it gets washed when it rains. John
Great video! I used to always get a feed of Spanish mackerel in the local fish and chip shop in Townsville, when I lived there! Sad that it is hard to buy locally caught fish these days! A friend of mine was put out of business with the regulation changes recently, as he was a professional Barra and salmon etc fisherman in the Burdekin region!
Beautiful fish, John 👍🏼 I love my fishing mate…. Great video. Great looking feed too John. I’ve just to let you know that I received my Perla Barb 372 XP on Friday and just ran it for ten minutes on Saturday. It went pretty good! I love it. I’ve found it to be a lot lighter and easier to start than my Stihl of the same vintage.
Hi john, I love your channel a good honest aussie bloke. abit off topic here and you might not want to answer this question but what's your opinion on the hairy man or yowie being a man on the land lots of bush around you? @@roberthead3984 Thanks for watching and saying nice things. I have been around the bush a bit and I haven't seen a yowie seen a few hairy men Ha Ha. I have an open mind about it. Just because I haven't seen one they could exist. At the very least its a good story. John
I knew you were the FISH GUY for sure! love the boat. Did you get some Shrimp too? We feed out all the heads and spine to the piggies. Good video. Thanks. Jim in Chile
Wonder if they would frown if you pull a couple of extra small boats behind the main boat to put two Spanish Macerals in each? Friend told me. You can debone Whitetail deer , and you want get the wild meat taste. He said the marrow in the bone is where the wild taste comes from.
Would vacuum seal it be easier, great work catching, cleaning and cooking the fish. Did you do the sculpture in the background and if so have you got any video of that it would be cool to see it ❤
Our Vacuum sealer broke a couple of weeks ago. We have a new one on order. I did make the sculpture and I do have a video of it way back. Here is the link. czcams.com/video/Zrj4c9y7klU/video.html. John

It seems as if every time you turn around there is a new rule. If let go law makers will make that many laws everyone will be a criminal. John

If you had two extra boats each boat would have to have two people in each boat. John

Fish is healthy
We try to eat fish twice a week. John
Here we eat fish whole no fillet.
We eat smaller fish whole but the big ones would be to much whole. John
I know to descale fish but I don't know how to fish.
You can learn. John
I don't know anything about fishing.
I have fished my whole life. John
I don't like swirls
What swirls ? John
Maybe swells
