As a DRZed 400SM owner of more than 14 years, I applaud you for the very reasoned and correct information that you are giving, particularly to newer DRZ owners.
I have done all these mods progressively over the years of ownership and I cannot fault your logic.
Congratulations to you on a well presented video.
    Merry Christmas, from NZ.

3x3, jetting and exhaust will get you where you want to be. The low end torque I gained from jetting and powercore exhaust was more then enough to barrel through Florida deep white sand and red clay trails. The only other upgrade I’ve considered is fcr carb upgrade, OEM dirtbike parts has a video doing 4th gear power wheelies with the fcr 41. hotcams and big bore kits are useless power imo for the money your spending

  • @coastalcleaningandmaintena2884

Good addition for weight loss is that sealed lead acid dumbbell battery. The lithiums are unbelievable. Way more cold cranking amps at 120 which is I beleive 3x as much. And it weighs less than 1lb which is significant high up on the chassis. At around 100 Canadian pesos it's a unbeatable upgrade. Great vid tho and to the haters you mentioned. Don't mention it again there will always b haters no matter what vid u post. Just realize that and don't give a damn. Usually just basement dwelling losers anyway that don't say shit in real life. I have a kickstart model with fcr and i has zero problems. You need to know how to set it up. Check out the eddie mods for the carb. The horizontal fcr comes on the drz. You can also use the mx fcr carb which is newer than the horizontal. Ypu may only need intake boots and throttle to change it. Then put the kickstart drz model cams in it. More aggresive.

Clearly not a Suzuki tech.... yes the ideas ya have are good ones. However 10k on an oversized piston is completely wrong. There are over 28 companies making full exhaust systems that perform very well. The E model exhaust cam is .250 SMALLER than the hot cams stage one grind. So let's do the math. At 1k revs the E model closes 4 times faster than the stage one hit cam. So I can't see how it is even remotely "close". And the 3x3 model is the first thing to be done. It will breathe better regardless of your jetting. More air in makes power. The only restriction in the stock system is the muffler. A 7+ year old muffler has puked out over half of its packing by then anyways. So for a fella with no wallet and a razor blade wack a hole in the air box. Ride it then comment below. The bike rt off the showroom floor was a winner. Still is... it's why not much has changed. If ya wanna have a fun bike with hours of fun. Do the 3x3 buy a cheap slip on muffler. Cuz ure sure gonna crash and dent it up anyways on some nice single trax. Shop around for some nice tyres. D606 does the best on and off road. I've worked for Suzuki since 2002. The same year I bought my S model. Wot have I dun? Jetting, pipe, big acerbic tank, crashed it alot, his headlight bulb, knuckle busters, crashed it some more, smaller turn signals cuz I crash alot and a 2 inch lowering kit so Mexicans stop eyeballing me..I went through a stage where I wanted it cool and pretty with traffics n shit. But I like to test my skills and crash alot lol. So if ya wanna RIP around the streets build it that way, if ya wanna hit the trails put some fat ass knobby on the back gear it down so I can wheelie till ya girl falls off the back and have fun. The bike is great stock. When adding parts do it cuz that's how ya like to ride. Otherwise all it truly needs is gas and ass. You can ask me ktm mates... plus I'm sure ktm stands for keep throughing money.....
    Rubber side down....
    If ya can 🤔
