    Definitely yes, a good entry level bike due to its great handling and predicable power delivery- but also more than enough performance to take you to the next level as you progress in riding skill. I looked at and tried out the HD 48, Vulcan S, and Yamaha Bolt. As entertaining as they all were, this was the one for performance and retro awesomeness. Riding mine for a year now after being away from the sport for ten years. One of the best choices I've ever made :-)

    Just bought a used 2019 Scout 60 (red). Comes with windscreen, floorboards, luggage, and mini-ape handlebars. I'm having hand grip warmers added for autumn/ winter comfort (riding in Vancouver where the winter temp. is rarely < 2C). Did a test ride recently and was impressed by the handling, acceleration and comfort. Hoping to get it this week. Thanks for the great review.

    I really enjoyed it a lot. Thanks for the review. I’m considering getting into the motorcycling mondo just because of these scout bikes. Really got impressed when I first saw it. Now the dilemma is whether to get the Scout or the scout Bobber.

      Hi Rodrigue, Thank you for the compliment.
      My thoughts on those two bikes: Bobber looks better but is so uncomfortable that just after 2 hours on it my lower back hurt. So I'd take the Scout and not the bobber.
      Cheers, Scott

      @@NothingToProve can't stop looking at the bobber, it makes my MacBook's desktop now :-) My rides are gonna be no more than 30 to 60 min max, will that be OK on the bubber?

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  Před 5 lety

      Yea, really short rides are ok. The bobber is really a gorgeous bike. I can look at if for hours and hours...just not ride if for hours and hours...lol.

    Another great review. Thank you.
    What do you think Scout Sixty or Triumph Bobber?

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks Cody, the Scout is more comfortable, the looks are subjective so for me it comes down to how I want to sit on a bike and the Scout takes it there. But you are comparing a bobber to a normal bike bobbers look better, imho, but I dislike the ride position.
      Ride safe, Scott

    HI I love your vlogs very informative.
    I will be brand new to riding when I pass my UK riding rest. I'm not young and daft or a speed freak, it's a bucket list exercise😂 I'm pushing 60 yrs old. I've decided upon 3 models Scout 60, Triumph speed twin ( with bench seat) or 883 iron. I'm 6'1" tall.
    What would be your recommendation for performance and comfort.
    Thanks
    Gary

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  Před 3 lety

      Thank you Gary,
      Well, you have two cruisers and one standard (retro). So performance will always go to the standard (Street Twin) over any cruisers (Scout/883). It really depends on what you want as far a comfort cause cruisers have the feet forward and the standards have the feet more under the seat. I've ridden all three bikes and find the Street to be more comfortable than the cruisers. Also weight is a factor when comparing the two groups, the two cruisers you named are 50kg heavier than the Street Twin. So you will notice that weight when moving the bike in low speed maneuvers and around the garage but if weight is not a problem and your lower back and take the seating position of a cruiser, then comfort is the same.
      Good luck and ride safe,
      Scott

    could you also do a review of Triumph bonneville and HD 883 IRON that is in the same class and say how you would compare them pros and cons

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  Před 6 lety +1

      Hi and thanks for the comment. Which Bonneville do you mean, the 900 Street Twin or the T120? Because the true Bonnie is now called the Street Twin 900. But I have ridden them both just recently and the 900 is the one that competes against the Sixty. The T120 is a 1200cc motor and that's not fair to compare to the Sixty. But with that said, I'd choose the Sixty over the Street Twin any day! I have ridden an HD 883 but it's been a while...2 decades or more...so let me see what I can do. Maybe in the next month or two I'll throw my leg over a "hog" and make a video.

      Lordjanuz Lord I can tell that the Indian Scout is a better bike than the HD Iron 883, I own an Iron. I just recently test rode the Indian Bobber and the Scout. When I rode the Scout, I knew right away that it was an all around better bike. I still have my Iron 883 and I will be getting the Scout in a couple of months: I can’t wait!

      Short rides, then bobber, longer rides then sixty or normal Scout.

    Scout Sixty or Guzzi V9? 😉

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi Chinmay, oh, that is a very hard question. Looks: both are great, feel: both are great, but the Guzzi has that mechanical visceral feel that says "slow down and enjoy the ride" and the Sixty is different in that it has the classic American cruiser feel, that basically says the same thing just in a different way, hmmm...wow, this is really hard to choose between the two. I guess you have to let your heart make the decision, at least that's what I'd do. Which ever one moves you the most.
      Let me know which one you choose and why you chose it. I'm curious.
      Greetings from Germany!
