I had a substitute teacher who ended up getting a life sentence because his daughters boyfriend found him molesting her one day, she’s 17 at this time, turns out he was doing that to her since she was the age of 5, because of the cruel nature of manipulation and physical abuse to her and other victim who eventually came out, they gave him the largest sentence they could. What’s wild is he subbed at our school in middle school, and then high school, following her from year to year to keep her quiet, even school wasn’t safe for her, thankfully he’ll never see freedom again. You never truly can tell what people do behind closed doors

A kindergarten teacher in my elementary school ended up being a p*dophile. Started up my phobia of being r*ped.
Stories about child predators of any kind always make my blood boil-even more so than stories about other criminals. The amount of trauma that puts on a person… that person usually grows up to need years of therapy and would honestly rather be dead on so many occasions.
My friend’s Boy Scouts troop leader was sentenced to 30 years in prison for taking pictures of the troop changing/showering/etc. when they were on camping trips. He would then post the pictures to some child p*rn site. The fact he didn’t get life will never make sense to me but, to flash forward, my friend is now too afraid to admit that he’s a part of the LGBT+ community. He gets very uncomfortable around it because he feels it’s related to trauma in some way.
I don’t know how to better explain that, but it has caused him such terrible grief (he developed an eating disorder at some point in high school too); it hurts knowing that people are just out here abusing children because they hold an ounce of authority, using it to manipulate others.

Amanda Motion hey you dont know What primary age is since i am danish. But i am studying to become a teacher to kids between the ages of 8-12. Do you have any advice for more things to look for as we arent really taught what to look for - at least not yet?
@@supertoezen primary in canada is generally kindergarten to grade 3. I would say do some research or if your school offers any courses on child psychology. It would give you an idea as to their developing stages. I think also experience is the only way you can recognize abnormal or concerning behaviour. Its usually normal for kids to say perverted or odd things at that age but if they are overtly sexual it shouldn't be ignored. Again working in the field you gain a sense for what is appropriate and when your intuition is saying otherwise. Best of luck!
