I could understand him dying from bullets in Arkham Asylum and City since it looked more like his suit was made out of a leathery material. I could also understand him dying from bullets in Arkham Knight since he was up against tanks and stuff, but dying from an ordinary bullet with armor? There’s just no way
he does, in that scene you can clearly see the bullet wounds the cowl has managed to stop, and also see that Harley isn't like aiming at his mouth or smth, she's going for the forehead

I find it funny that they as developers chose to kill arkham batman that everyone loved in a game nobody wanted with microtransactions nobody wanted and then wondered why everyone hates them
Not only did they go out of their way to spite fans of the Arkham series as much as possible, they made the game in general unappealing to even the most casual of gamers with all the live service bs, and then went the extra mile to spite every other remaining demographic group, even the leftists this was meant to appeal to, with genuinely bigoted writing and unlikeable portrayals of the main characters.
And yet *THEY* are the ones who are angry at and villainizing everyone for wanting to avoid their garbage product, and nothing else.

He either pressed through it with sheer will, Or anticipated the problem and came in prepared.
An evil, mindcontrolled Batman who *retains* his characteristics minus the morals (as we see he is following the Squad, gathering intel and preparing for a confrontation), That man would've demolished them.
Im saying this as a man that hates ''Batman can win anything with prep time!11!'' comments. But in this instance he should've. His enemies arent some juiced up aliens, gods or demons. His entire rogues gallery consists of genetically engineered soldiers (Deathstroke and specially trained assasins of different factions), Psychopaths with varius degrees in several branches of science (From bombs to subtle viruses), Trigger happy psychopaths who doesnt hesitate to kill for money.
He is absolutely the ultimate counter to Suicide Squad even when he doesnt want to kill. Without morals, this man should hang them all by the balls.
And Im not gonna talk about Superman, Flash or Green Lantern losing at all. Just Arkham Batman alone should be strong enough to demolish em. Nobody would've cared this much had they refrained from saying this game exists in the same universe where Batman fights and beats all those types of enemies I mentioned on a weekly basis.

Hell, we already dealt with an attempted Harley ambush back in Arkham City, where she had 4 people with rifles actively trained on Batman rather than just 1 pistol here. In that game, a simple smokebomb and grapple hook combo was enough to get out of the firing line, and turn the assassination attempt into a Predator arena.

This reminds me of the animated justice league episode where Batman intentionally got caught and manipulated the villains against one another by just messing with their heads, then broke free when he learned everything they were plotting. That’s what batman would do

It would have been better in game if, because of his helmet’s bulletproof capabilities, the shot from Harley’s gun doesn’t kill him, but rather breaks Braniac’s control over him. Then he snaps out of it, proceeds to wipe the floor with them, and then demands that they tell him what’s been happening. From then on he works with you
Kind of a stretch but compared to what happens in this shit show it's masterful writing

Arkham origins, after joker reveals himself he shot batman, like 5-6 times and blows him off. Batman after that gets up, beats some thugs and leaves unharmed. Why did you asking people "did you play the games" if you don't play them yourself?

I think King shark not noticing the explosive gel on his arm is a nice touch, considering in the beginning of the game he didn’t even feel a knife being thrust in his back. It makes more canonical sense than most of the actual scenes in the game.

Rocksteady says that The Justice League controlled by Brainiac isn't the real deal, but that doesn't matter because the damage has been done. This game should have never happened. And by the way, I consider this non-canon because Arkham Knight is the final Batman game.

The animation does forget that Batman has been injured after a lengthy boss fight. So it is closer to a self insert fan fic where the OP character always wins despite it making no sense in the story.

This team has so many C listers the fact they could outdo Arkham Batman who fought for 24 hours straight against various A-list villains and won, is ridiculous.
The whole Suicide Squad drama gave me the urge to give the Batman Arkham games a try, all I'll say is that I underestimated Batman's abilities. This video perfectly nailed Arkham Batman's tactics, right down to the small details like the punching animation and impact sfx

Literally the only one out of that group that could be a threat is King Shark. Quite frankly though, King Shark ain't fast enough to catch Batman lacking.

How you guys feel about this game is how I felt about DC Rebirth but no one cared about how people like me felt as long as they got that THEY wanted. Bro, this would have been such a revolutionary use of the "new game +" mechanic. It also would have been the sickest way to reveal that this was the new Batman game they had been working on the entire time, and simply sold it as a suicide squad game to throw everyone off their trail. They could have easily broken the internet, people would have lost their minds.
Imagine opening to the usual home screen and selecting the new game + option, and then the screen goes black and you hear Kevin's voice saying the iconic words "I am vengeance...I am the night..." as a new title screen slowly fades in: "Batman: Divided We Fall" (a reference to the _Unlimited_ series when the JLA fought a fusion of Brainiac and Lex Luthor).
I would have started crying.

They really expected us to believe that arguably the greatest superhero in the DC universe would actually canonically die by being tied to a lawn chair with some rope from Ace the Hardware Store and being shot once in the face by the clown therapist sidekick of his nemesis.
Funny enough, Arkham Batman from the Assault on Arkham film actually took care of all 4 of them with the addition of Killer Frost and Black Spider.
And to dunk on them even harder he stripped Black Spider butt naked and stole his suit

In many of these kinds of "supervillain team up stories", the villains often fail to defeat the heroes despite their numbers because the villains have a fragile alliance or have egos or opposing objectives. Like in many Sinster 6 Stories, even if the villains can overwhelm Spider-Man (and do it initially), Spider-Man still ends up beating them because the villains start fighting among themselves more than Spider-Man.
Even in the 2018 Spider-Man game, Spidey takes down Rhino and Scorpion because they start arguing with each other and aren't really cooperating and begin to fight Spidey separately rather than as a team. The Arkham games and many Batman comics also do this trope. A lot of wins Batman gets against regular thugs and villains is because their alliance is skin deep.
Even in Arkham Knight, all the villains do meet up and agree to work with Scarecrow in order to pull Batman in many different directions, but they all go and do their own thing rather than coordinate in any way. Same for Arkham Asylum. Hell, this is one of the reasons why Batman uses his fear tactics and his "criminals are a superstitious cowardly lot" line. Because most criminals fold like paper in those scenarios.
In SSKTJL, the situation is different. For one, the Squad actually trusts, relies and coordinates with each other. They have to. They will actually die if they or any of their members fail. So they have to watch out for each other. They can't run or give up because they all die. They have to keep their egos in check or they will die. And they all have the same objective: to survive. So instead of Batman fighting 4 disconnected villains with weaknesses and dynamics he can easily exploit like before, he's fighting 1 well oilled and competent team that's actually on the same page and covering each other's weaknesses.
The beatdown from Arkham Origins is the best thing I've seen in the history of the Arkham series
