- This performance of John Mayall's classic 'California' is a special treat for John's fans, and really the fans of the Blues and classic rock. This performance is a showcase for the talents of John, Jay Davenport (drums), and Greg Rzab (bass). The flow from musician to musician, and the interaction and tightness of the band is classic. This video is one of several I've added with John's new Trio format. I think you'll agree it adds a new dimension to an already legendary career. Super ! John Mayall qui fait du blues "Jazzy", c'est inhabituel et c'est très réussi ! Bravo au "Maestro" du British blues !!! Longue vie à lui...!
The original white bluesman, so,so Great!!
Pa los que les gusta el pinche blues.
For those who like the blues.
I was there from the start. I remember this song while living in Santa Barbara. Oh and thanks for discovering The Flock.
John Mayall perfected the blues.
Bass player is killin' it. Bravo!
Now I know just how old I'm getting. Thanxs JOHN
John Mayall always ... the white father of the BLUES ... for me since 1970 !!!!
Saw these guys live last night. Phenomenal musicians all! They did an epic Parchment Farm. Johns harp playing gave me goose bumps! Enjoyed it so much I had to seek out more on CZcams today.
That's "Parchman Farm" - bloody auto correct!
never is be old for rock and roll
That’s a Jethro Tull album
J. Mayall dimostra, se mai ce ne fosse bisogno, che unn jazz-blues fusion di qualità non ha età. Lunga vita a te ,John

Thanks for the autograph in San Francisco airport! Not! A hole!

Amazing that here he was just a month away from turning 83 years old!! WOW!!!
He continues to be amazing. New studio album came out a little over a month ago, and his live shows are always top notch !!
Saw John live in 1966 with Eric Clapton, the Beano album been a fan ever since.

Can you remember where this took place? Thank you for posting this. He's massively historic. He was supposed to come to Key West but cancelled because of Wuhan Virus.
The Capitol Theater in Clearwater, FL
Forgive me I missed the info at the open, but thank you. Turning Point was my introduction to his amazing discography. But if I may, what were the shouted requests? @@MichaelShivvers_BluesArchive

The big blue's boss: a banquet in blue...
Super Trío,Mayall vigente.
gold gold good
Absolutely, thanks for watching !!
Finally he gets ride of guitar hero
He might be a legend but he wasn't very good at birminghams town hall on the 21st .without a guitar player with him he sounds crap.no show no charisma no lights crap sound .buddy was good but they all looked like they jus got out of bed . No presentation and all for 40quid.they all need to make a bit more effort
Greg Rzab’s bass solo is one big self-indulgent mess. What looks experimental and challenging is just wasted mental flossing. Many dead notes that don’t ring out which happens when you contort your hands so much you miss the mark. I used to like him with Buddy Guy but now he seems preoccupied with carrying on the Jaco persona but he’s no Pastorius. He’s not even musical.
Replying to your 4 year old comment. Look man it's a miracle that John Mayall can even get booked and yes his sideman are lame but they are certainly playing for nothing and traveling in a cheap RV. I personally wished he would of retired long ago. He almost seems like a joke now. But when he made " The Turning Point " album it was iconoclastic.
