The masterpiece has no time.
I'm still listening 2024. It'll take you there!
I 'm an 80 year old South African...This music so cool🎉.
Peace and joy and love to you all.Willie

❤️❤️❤️
Très belle musique ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
South Africa 1979 I was driving down Pretoria street listening to this kind of music and the police fined me saying next time I'm going to jail. I'm 67 😂
❤
I'm in Scotland and I'm 72 years old and this is my go to video . Loved the Blues since I was 12 . My favourite genre by a country mile. Hail the Blues.😊
Same with me. I got turned on to the blues by my cousin in Chicago in 1970. I'm 71
U r a true believer... The blues will live forever!
Aaaa Santana!!! The man!
Come on out eta.. The queen!
Oooh lordy.. what these boys can do!!!
Remember those times, didn't matter if the people next to you were black, brown, yellow or green with orange polka dots and three eyes, you were all enjoying the music and having a great time.
Those times still exist thanks to music like this and it still doesn't matter cause we're all enjoying the music and having great times when we can escape the sad realities of the times in the magical vibes of those times!
All I see is the .music playing so so great. .music has no race or creed Thank God for the Blues
John Lee Hooker -- saw him play in a little club in Cotati, CA, just a bar. Stood right in front of him and watched the master at work. Fantastic!! I'll always remember.
Wish I were there...
No way that's literally right outside my hometown (Santa Rosa)
Good stuff.
@@themusicman1556 Lived in Santa Rosa for years -- used to work at Freeman Toyota, if it is still there.
@@richardkemp3825 Niice, I have a love hate relationship with this place. Part of me hates the housing costs, food costs, gas prices, etc. Nobody here wants to hire anybody, and it's tough to exist day to day here, but nothing is better than driving down Bennett Valley Road at sunset.
I don't understand how anyone could hear this music and not want to get up and dance.
I do
Love it
*If you are reading this, I wish you a wonderful day. "Please never give up. Although today is hard, tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow will surely be sunshine"*
Thankyou Man!

Best harmonica playing ever. Sends the shivers down to my toes. ❤❤❤
That’s a good thing.
Man, harmonica is too good
I was a blues baby my dad introduced me to John Lee Hooker and many others and here I am 50 years later still jamming to his music.
Same here! My Grandmother introduced John Lee Hooker "The Waterfront" to me around 5 or 6 and it was, OVER!!!
Who are you? 😊😊😊😊😊😊
That harmonica was singing them lyrics , It had a soul !
That’s the legendary Paul Buttersfield🔥
Je suis Algérien et j'ai 53 ans et j'écoute ça depuis mon adolescence🇩🇿🇵🇸🇿🇦🙏
These icons are just playing and having a damn good time doing what they love. This performance is definitely priceless 🎉🎉
CARLOS SANTANA IS ONE OF THE BEST MUSICIAN FROM THE WORLD.
JOHN LEE HOOKER IS NO SLOUCH, EITHER! AND ETTA IS AN ANGEL.
Best times are listening to the blues. You know you still have a soul.
Absolutely freaking beautiful ❤️!!!
Why people don't create this kind of music anymore
JLH was undoubetedly the coolest man that ever lived.
The Blues as the King knew them, were nothing short of pure poetry in motion. BB is gone, SRV is gone, Hell, even Elvis could sing the genre to a different drummer. That's why the Blues are timeless, and limitless, because everyone gets the Blues now and again. A musician /singer/entertainer, always leaves room for another to pick up and pass along the torch. I can't wait to get to Heaven, so that I can meet and greet these ambassadors of good will . Adios
If I am so blessed by God.
There is no Racial Bull$h*T with these guys. Simply playing the Best Music in the whole world!
One of the best jams i heard in my life, and i cant stop lisening to it over and over
I’ll never get enough of these blues, John Lee Hooker is always the king .
King? No - but he's bloody great. Paul Osher - awesome

What a great combination of diversified, talented musicians, Santana with an old time blues player, more modern blues rock singer and harmonica man=spectacular musical outcome!
Now this is what they used to call a Jam session .
This guy has the ability to command the stage. You "feel" the music instead of just listening to it.
They might at least acknowledge that Paul Butterfield is playing too. Greatest harpist ever!
It’s hard to pick out but John Lee Hooker says at one point ‘gone on give it a blow Paul’
THE VERY BEST OF HARPESTS

Cool Granddaddy.
Damn, lucky. Hell yerah!
I was 3 years old wen I first heard Santana say hendrix was it the best guitar I was 11 years old wen I realized Santana had been humble enough that I didn't know the little Harry Latin guy that went on before hendrix with the red Gibson SG was Santana my mom would say I love Santana and I would say who the hell is Santana her not realizing I was not familiar with Santana I was with bb king and jimi and Aretha but I didn't know who elvis was I didn't think white people could even play music the only three white people I heard we're willy Nelson Jonny cash and Waylon Jennings I wasn't that impressed I liked bb king jimi hendrix and Albert Colin's Ray Charles was awesome
I am still watching & listening Awesome jam ❤❤❤❤

Thank you so much !! yes !! NO intro
The star of that show for sure
Thanks for confirming this. I was real sure it was Paul Butterfield, upside down harp and all. Agreed, with all these legends I can't believe they wouldn't have added his name in with all the others.
Also, kept wait for Etta James. . .
What a night at the Fillmore! That was Elvin Bishop in the cowboy hat. Carlos played scorching blues. John Lee is the blues!🎙️🎸🎸🥁
Thats, Mr. John Lee Hooker to you! My favorite bluesman of all time.

BAD TO THE BONE!! THE OLD SCHOOL, THE REAL LEGENDS..
Lord, bless my health and grant me the strength to maintain a healthy body and mind. Help me to make choices that honor the body You have given me and to seek healing when I am unwell.
This is what made me pick up a guitar and learn to play it. I found an old hollowbody guitar at a second hand music shop and sat as a teen listening to John Lee Hooker. I found I had that shuffle in me and I was connected instantly. My moma told my papa, let that boy boogie woogie! Cuz its in him and it got to come out.
The man with harmonica amazing....

JOHN LEE HOOKER,
IVE SURVIVED ALL MY YEARS OF LIFE BY PLAYING YOUR BLUES WHICH GREW INSIDE MY SOUL, WHERE THERE IS NOW PEACE, LOVE, AND JOY.

The best of the best 🎉
John Lee Hooker was an American singer-songwriter and musician who is frequently described as the one greatest blues guitarists in history. One of the most authentic practitioners of Mississippi Delta blues, his distinctive baritone explored themes such as depression, poverty, alcohol and promiscuity. Hooker’s primitive but powerfully timeless songs created a huge impact on rhythm and blues and rock ‘n’ roll.

Sadly so.. but, they've set a bar for the up and coming. To work a little harder.. but this, will never be recreated... Forever etched in our history...
That's the spirit. Lives on forever

Absolute legends, they never complained about their situation, they created their own fame the old fashioned way and to this day inspired generations of musicians, to this day their music is still second to none.

Mister Boogie merci !
I was fortunate to live in the SF Bay Area beginning in 1985. I got to see John Lee Hooker many times, sometimes in bars that held less than 500 people. Once between sets he was autographing his publicity photos for $5-10. I asked him to sign his name with Bluesfully Yours, John Lee Hooker. I wasn't aware of his dyslexia until then because it was a.challenge, yet he just humbly asked for help and it wasn't like he was ashamed or awkward with asking for help. It really impressed me because I sensed that despite dyslexia he knew he was the fucking MAN! I love John Lee Hooker and his shows rocked and were just some of the best shows I've ever witnessed. Amen.
