After 50+ years in the music business, playing the Blues with a 'who's who' of rock and blues artists, John has decided to try something new and give the 'Trio' a go. Il grande John è stato forse il più amato Bluesman bianco e lo testimonia la sua carriera. Qui in questa nuova versione a trio ,intimista ,mi sembra però un pò fiacco e fuori fase.
L'impressione è che manchi qualcosa!
Certo,manca la parte di chitarra......puoi sempre rimpiazzare Rocky Athas,e mostrare che non sei il solito chiacchierone.Insopportabile il tuo commento su una leggenda del blues (né bianco né nero!)e un uomo meraviglioso che vive per suonare, non il contrario. Per impiegare in modo proficuo il tuo tempo, comprati il DVD del concerto del suo 70 compleanno e troverai il medesimo brano al meglio, col plenum dei suoi chitarristi.Tutto il concerto si gusta come un pranzo rinascimentale...sfarzoso! Mettiti in pari ,mosca cocchiera, leggi su di lui, ascolta la sua immensa produzione musicale, vai a vedere con quanti artisti ha collaborato e quanti ne ha formati, forse imparerai a rispettare la musica e i musicisti
John Mayall è amato oggi come un tempo perchè esprime creatività e vitalità immense, con la sua voglia di suonare cavalca il tempo che passa,e va oltre.

I felt that way at first, especially since I was used to seeing Rocky on guitar, but after seeing several shows and how the three interact with each other, the more I liked it and was impressed with what John was doing. Thank you for watching and commenting
John is an amazing performer and interpreter of the blues whether its with the standard 4 piece band, or his new trio. As I mentioned in my other reply, I found it different the first time watching - because I had been used to seeing a more prominent guitar part - which has always been a staple of John's bands. But, after watching how he interacts with Greg and Jay, and how the music is more streamlined and intimate with the trio, I love it. Thank you for watching, and for your observations....
