Yes, has so many items. 👍
Did you know that Heath is one cool guy...!!! 🤩🍻
Yeah, he's okay. 🤣
I thought that playing cards were completely illegal, guess not. They still make wonderful gifts.
You can buy them from the 7-Eleven, but they are very expensive. I don't think you can play cards in public. I will look into that. 👍
Heath thanks for sharing those great tips about Thailand. Short video but very informative!
You're welcome, Gerald. 🙏
Enjoyable and informative video, Heath. Liked it a lot!

I’ll have to remember not to go to Bangkok Airport at night whistling my way to check-in shirtless, with no underwear holding a religious symbol!
You might have saved my bacon (well you did say moo). 🤣😂
Again what a fantastic video!
Ha ha, that made me laugh out loud. Thanks. 🤣
I really like how Heath add his droid footage to his videos. This is something that I have wanted to get into for sometime.

It always amazes me, how empty Jomtien Beach can often be, when other similarly-good beaches elsewhere can be packed ... it all just makes it a very nice place to hang-out !
So true, Richard. 👍
@@oneendofthailand The Costa-del-Thanet springs to mind, except that at-least they too have sandy-beaches, not those pebble-things many of us Brits were used to, as kids ! Hah !
Yes, but as kids we have different standards. 🤣
Go in the evening, when the sun go down...
New subscriber.....not new to Thailand....but interested in learning more about living in Jomtien. I'll be back in Thailand in October for a few months at least.

If I hear someone whistling at night, I scream, “Oh, shitt! Here come Omar! Omar coming!”
But anyway….. Hahahahaha, help me up!!! Sorry about the drone brother! Glad you were able to bounce back, love your content, hope to join you there next year, your content and info are a gem!
Thanks so much, Robert. I appreciate that. 🙏
@@oneendofthailand Is it possible to take the train from Jomtien to Bangkok?
Not at the moment. The buses are the best option. 😎
Interesting information, can we have a bit more on places to live please ? I'm getting interested in Thailand through your channel.
I will be doing more of those soon. Is this of interest? czcams.com/video/rYt6esgreJw/video.html 👍
@@oneendofthailand I think this is useful and I was also thinking about purchasing a condo.

Your drone may be developing a mind of its own ! Eeek !
Well, they are very advanced. 😐
Barangs have thrir own culture.
I’m thinking of staying in Jontiem at the beginning of Jontiem next trip by the first curve
It's a good area to stay. 👍
Good, informative stuff there, Heath, wish foreigners would show respect and keep their shirts on publically, seen many falang youngsters strolling along Soi Buakhao bare chested.
Thank you. I guess some can't handle the heat. 😎
tooooo short thanks fer your efforts
You're welcome. 🙏
For a place that supposed to be a very popular vacation destination, why is that Beach completely empty?
I think it depends on the time of day, but the beach is never over-busy, except for Thai holidays.
Great video, hope you got your drone under control! To my mind, I would like to see a guide for how pedestrians can cross a busy road in Thailand. I imagine you get used to it but it would be nice to know what the actual rules are. 🙂
Thai drivers totally ignore zebra crossings. However, there has been some pedestrian crossings added to some of the the busier roads.
Always maintain eye contact with motorcycle riders and vehicles and walk a steady pace without hesitation.
"Rules" I think you misspelled "suggestions" ?!? 😂

A 7/11 on every corner, sometimes 2 in Bangkok

Yes. 😎
Thanks for an informative video Heath, some of those "traditions" are a bit odd :) I have a question regarding Drones. I am coming to Thailand in October and will be bringing my DJI SE Mini drone, do I have to register it? Thanks, stay safe 👍...and thanks for the shout out.
Hi Phil. You need to be registered with the NBTC, CAAT and have drone insurance. Doe this video help? czcams.com/video/x0NkJBqKq1A/video.html
Great video as usual.
I was curious about something. I will be moving there next year. What is the difference between Jomtien and Na Jomtien. What is the condo situation between the 2.
Na Jomtien is the far end of the beach after Soi 19. There are a few expensive condos in Na Jomtien but other condo prices are about the same. You can get similar deals.
Shirtless on a motor bike is a ticket
Yes. It is illegal to ride a motorbike or drive a car, shirtless. I should have mentioned that. 😎
Hey Heath hope you are OK. Did I miss you explaining what the little word in Thai on the Signs in English means?
It's the translation of the English word. Doesn't seem to be on many bars, but you'll notice it in restaurants and larger companies.
Verry hot today in jomtien.
Geerts from thé Aiyaree hotel..Rik from Belgium now in jomtien😊
Thanks, Rik. Yes, it has been very hot lately. 👍
At the average sized 7-11 in Pattaya you can get food for 3 meals a day for a month and never have the same meal twice.
Yes. 😎
Yes,very halty food,u will not last long 😂😂😂😂😂
Amazed that the crashing drone was able to send back footage as long as it did. It definitely came down hard. What do you think happened? Crosswind?
This was my old drone which had no anti-avoidance, and it drifted back into the trees. It still recorded video to the SD card in the drone. The sounds were added 😎.
Is the sea murky?
Not at all. 👍
Thanks for all your informativ content!
What about Lamporn, I hope all is fine.
Best wishes from Germany for you two!
Does It Cold There
Never. 😁
Hi Heath, I believe that there is another no no that you didn't mention. I was there extensively in the early 70s, 80s and 90s with the US Navy and it was a big deal then but I'm not sure about now. If you were sitting down and your feet were pointing in the direction of another Thai National then that could be construed as being offensive. It's because the feet are the lowest part of the body and because of that it would be offensive. Is it still that way?
There's loads I never mentioned. I haven't heard that one but It sounds like the sort of thing. I think most of this customs are not known even to young Thais. It's nothing to worry about in the more tourist areas were Western ignorance is tolerated.
I am deciding on moving to jomtien, im 53, any advice what its like & where is the best part to stay to find condo
Hi Billy. Not a simple answer, but I have covered a lot in my past videos that you may find informative. Hope they help. 👍
There’s 4 Mr.DIY’s in Pattaya, there’s a good one by the massive wholesale Ratanakorn Market, in Theppesit Road, where we go every week for the best choice and cheapest fruit, veg, meat and fish market in the Pattaya area imo 😊. I’ve often seen young Thai men not wearing a shirt, but yes I agree it’s not the right etiquette to do so in public places! The feet are considered the least clean part of the body and should never show people the bottom of the feet. Also pointing at someone with your index finger is frowned on, there’s so many Thai taboos. In fact my Thai girlfriend never gets very intimate with me on Buddha days, she is very religious and this maybe her upbringing 😮
Thanks for the extra info. Yes, I meant to mention the pointing. I guess you are looking forward to the next Buddha Day. 🤣
that's the reason Thais will often "point" with their chin when giving directions, i used to think it was rude or lazy before i found out, also beckoning with the palm facing up is almost inviting someone to fight with you, much more polite to beckon with the palm facing down
What happened to your drone? I got one too and any info could help me to keep mine safe
Ah, I have a new drone now. DJI Mini 3 Pro. I started with a budget drone (SJRC F11 Pro). The budget drone didn't tell me how many satellites it was connected to, so without a good GPS lock, I think I took off with a few short and it drifted. Best to let you drone hover for 20 seconds before shooting off into the sunset. 😎
@@oneendofthailand Ok, I have a 6 years old Mavic Pro and never had such bad luck but if it's a budget drone, no wander why they're cheap
What was your old drone
My old drone was an SJRC F11 Pro. They are very difficult to register in Thailand due to them not having a serial number, so don't buy one of those if you want to fly here.
@@oneendofthailand had one not good
@@oneendofthailand the specifications on that drone looks good but its poor range and reception unfortunately I have a mini 2 now and I did ask you if you could help me sort out my thai licence I have insurance and my uk licence but not clear on what to do

I have a question about gambling. With a VPN can you play or bet on a uk online casino? or will you be in trouble?
Who would know? 😀

Cheers, Chris. Always at my Friday evening hangout in Soi Welcome. 😎👍
It is important to respect the customs of the country.
I am Japanese, but Japan has not accepted many foreigners until modern times.
40 years ago, when Japan had economic power, workers came from Asian countries in search of "yen".
In recent years, Japan has lost its economic power and has focused on tourism, and it has become commonplace to see foreigners in the streets. As a result, I started to feel more stress due to cultural differences between Japan and other countries (for example, standing in line and waiting in line).
You know a lot about Japan! Yes, there are many 7-Elevens in Japan. However, in most of Japan, it is an unspoken rule not to open a store nearby out of consideration for the owner. (Thailand has a 7-Eleven every 20m)
Thanks for your comment. 👍
There’s absolutely no one on the beach… is this not a popular beach? Or is it the wrong time of year? I’m looking at condominiums in this area but I certainly don’t want to pay the money to live near the beach if no one ever goes there.. please advise.
This section of the beach becomes busy in the evenings. I would say it's best to stay somewhere where the beaches are not so busy.
@@oneendofthailand thanks much! Is Jomtien a good choice for an American ExPat living on roughly $2300 a month? With prices What they are in the United States now,, it’s clear that I need to get out of Dodge. Currently I’m 69 years old and pretty arthritic. I need a one floor living arrangement .. stairs are not nice to me. Originally I thought about buying an apartment, but after watching your video and a few others I think perhaps it may be wise for me to find a place that suits me that I can afford as reasonably as possible and get maybe a six month or 12 month lease so that if I find I don’t like the area, I have both time to search out a replacement and then if I want to I’ll buy a place. My current living situation is becoming untenable. I’ve got a three-story townhouse that I paid down on the mortgage pretty heavily so when I sell this place I’ll have some money to take with me. Since everything I own is American, I’ll need to sell the contents of my home, sell my car. sell the home itself and get myself all the needed visa’s and paperwork needed to arrange my finances moving to Thailand. Initially, I plan to use Tuk Tuks or the like for basic transportation. I’m too old for a scooter.. At some point I’ll need a small inexpensive car that’s capable of fitting my 6’4” 210lb body relatively comfortably and reasonably efficiently. I really don’t envision driving around that much, but in as much as my mobility is somewhat reduced due to age and arthritis, a car seemed like the most logical choice. Let me know if you have a recommendation. I won’t be bringing much with me other than clothes and my musical menagerie (10 guitars and multiple amps and accessories .) Will my iPod Air Gen4, My Asus recent Windows Laptop and my One Plus 8T phone be useable in Thailand? (All are capable of Wi-Fi 6) I realize I will need a new phone plan and Internet access. Have any thoughts that will help me?
You can easily live on that budget. No tuk tuks in this area but the Baht bus is easy to use. All okay with your electronic devices but be aware you will probably have to pay import duty on the guitars. @@REBELSCL

Oh thank Heaven
For 7-11 😂
Yes. 😎
More 7/11s in Thailand than in the US? Holy smokes. I know I've seen a lot of them on various videos, but I had *no idea.*
It surprised me also when I first heard this. I checked several sources, it's true. 😎
Are you aware of any restaurants in Pattaya that allow you to dine shirtless?
Many wouldn't say anything but why when it's not customary in Thailand to dine shirtless? 😐
Why is it that NO ONE ever tells there viewers how they get the money to live that kind of life, or how they get paid and able to live the live in Thailand?
Yip -
Moo is pork and...
Poo is crab
honest - no sh*t!
With CRAB, it's not the P you pronounce, it's more a cross between P and B. Moo is PIG, although it's used when ordering in a restaurant as you are basically ordering pig. 👍
My uncle was shirtless in isaan (Surin). It was ok for us thais/khmers but for not white people I guessed
I think a lot of these old customs seem to be ignored now, even amongst young Thais.
@oneendofthailand you might be right. The young Thais are very western influenced
Talking of tips, Thai people do not tip anywhere near as much as falangs, a few baht is fine, certainly not the 10-20% that is common in the west.
It also depends on your location. Here in Buriram we don't tip at all.
Basically a long tourist selfie here! Info ok, but why are you so fond of showing yourself? Place here itself not interesting. Just so hard to understand, maybe a cultural thing? A lot of a bit older men coming here, focusing a lot on themselves it seems. Sorry....
I have no idea what you are talking about or the point of your comment.
Murat guen drown him too😊
Thanks!
