As Cramer himself has said (in a rare moment of lucidity), Apple gets punished for delivering what it promises on products that other tech companies can only try to imitate while their sales decline even faster than Apple's. Anyone suggesting Apple's in trouble here should try looking at the entire consumer tech market first.

Apple is going to be in the scene for a long time. They have been relevant, are relevant, and will continue to be relevant. Everyone acts like having a decrease in profits for the first time is a sign of the apocalypse.
Every company wishes they could make $10b profit on an "off" quarter.

+Randall Collins Even though Samsung electronics is far behind apple in profit, the mother company actually takes in considerably more (but they are a conglomerate that does literally everything.)

+Grant D True. Samsung doesn't necessarily have to rely on their smartphone and tablet profits since they make lots of other electronics and appliances. If anything, Apple really needs to diversify their product portfolio because even though most of their profits come from hardware, they need to venture out into other areas. Maybe the Apple car might be of some worth.

    • @kairos-049

If you look at the numbers apple is still a very profitable company. The markets over reacting. Hardware wise they have the strongest position, IBM thru in the flag and said they will replace their hardware with apple computers. They also have 200 billion in cash around the world. They also have the strongest brand in the tech industry to a point ppl will overpay their product over the next guy who have better specs. I'm willing to bet this company share might drop this year but if you put your money on them for the long term and can be patient it will double in 3-5 years.

Jim seem to poke Tim a lot. Tim is so patient and gives relevant reply.I think Apple watch is the only watch that is a complete package. Speaker , internal storage , touch screen , heart rate monitor , customizable strap. Apple started the revolution with smart phones, they designed the app market seeing which android emerged. Only lag apple seem to have is they adopt to certain features very slow. They have only necessary stuff not just because the it exist. Android has a lot of features , still feels incomplete .I'm a android user I feel so. Apple is a premium company , It delivers what it says. PERIOD. They are really a great team.

I will definitely say Apple has been slightly disappointing lately...I expect them to give me software updates that I can actually use, or touch on things that could use a fresh update. Apple Music is fine the way it is I'm not complaining about the design...why change it if it was JUST recently was created. Whereas the phone app, messages app, calendar app, weather app, voicemail app, and even Safari don't exactly NEED an update but it certainly would keep things fresh. If Apple would work more on being convenient for its users I believe widespread perception would be completely different. "Live wallpapers" why should I have to 3D touch a wallpaper to see an animation? Shouldn't it just play when the phone is unlocked? The lock screen...why can I not see the weather, or pin a to do list? The dock...WHAT is the purpose of that ugly rectangle as if I can't find the apps at the bottom. Notifications...why are they so sloppy still? Apple has just gotten laaaaaaazzzzy

Exactly they know it and it this day and age its pure extortion. Even for people that dont use their phone as much 16gb is an insult since lets not forget the damn ios takes a lot of space thus you are left with less than 10gb. Sooner or later they will pay for their greed. I can find a 128gb micro sd card on amazon for $40 but apple charges you $100 for 52gb extra.

And yes...The apple watch right now is crap. Still, Apple is a company that's going to be around for quite a while. Quality products that people are still willing to pay top dollar for.

Jobs had a larger than life personality, so people see the success of iPhone in hindsight and declare Watch as a failure which it is not. Also, why would one compare an iWatch to iPhone, how about comparing an iWatch to all the watches or wearables sold in the world and see how it stacks up.

However, there is no denying the nos. and in the bay area I see a lot of young people wearing apple watch. I believe if Apple makes it a little more affordable to buy one, bolster the native apps., maybe bring it in a few more shapes the college kids will gravitate towards it. This sort of move will power the services like apple pay, music etc. battery life is another key, we will see what happens.

When Steve took over Apple back in the days, it was pretty much success after success and innovation. I wouldnt dare call that a coincidence. He was extremely demanding of his employees and would make them accomplish the impossible. He had the vision, the mind to see future trends and needs before anyone else. Under Tim, Apple has just been coasting on the success of Steve, adding gold colors, gimmicks like force touch, spec upgrades and the apple watch which is debatable in terms of innovation. If the iphone 7 leaks are true, apple is pretty much on a downhill unless they manage to bring back steve from the cloud.

The difference between Apple under Steve and Apple under Tim is that Apple is now dominant. Apple had to be the innovator and be creative because it was seeking that top position. It has reached that top position and now can coast, without the need to be innovative and creative to the same degree that it was under Steve.
I mean, look at the car endeavor that they have recently pulled back on. Is that something Steve would have done? Apple is spoiled today because they have so much and don't really have to do much to maintain its empire. Steve was hungry. Tim isn't.

Tim what did you come up with new? What is your new product? Steve Jobs had 3 in 9 years. You had 0 in 6 years.
    iPod 2001
    iPhone 2007
    iPad 2010
---- also MacBook Air in 2008.
You had Apple Watch, Apple Pen, iPhone +, iPad Pro, etc...
When Apple Pen was introduced this was the end of Apple.

okay if Apple apart from not listen to the customers, don't start getting a fair more humane treatment to all its Chinese workers it will be worth $10.00 a share in the next 10 years I Mark my words

This man is the CEO of Apple?! He doesn't speak as if he knows about the direction where his company is going, nor does he sound confident. "I didn't look at the stock price today" "Customers love Apple products" That's his answer to everything, that mantra is old.

First of all, iPhone doesn't exist anymore. I don't know how to call these phones. The iPhone was left behind since iOS 6, iOS 6 where Steve jobs was still alive and Scot was still working in apple. ( scot was the creator of iOS and was fired after Tim toke Steve throne )
I was considered myself to be a #1 Apple fan, but now I became the #1 Tim hater. Not Apple it's not apples fault.
It's that tim who tried to put 2 naked guys in my fking music albums.

I guess the company is working on some Secret R&D program likely to be Virtual Reality as per the last quarter of 2015 & the 1st quarter of 2016 there has been no major innovation and the company needs to put up something in order to pass the year and im pretty sure there are gonna surprise us in about a year !! and Tim cook is right we have to consider the macro scale in the profit margin rather then that of a quarter of a year.

pointless drivel: I got apple music for the free 3 months they offered. running on android it seemed very buggy. i seriously wanted to remove it. A lot (not all) of the bugs have been fixed and I decided to keep my subscription. I actually dig their selection and was able to find many songs I didnt expect to find on there. example Ed Rush & Optical - Pacman (Ram Trilogy Remix). I have it on vinyl and yeah I was surprised they had it.

12w0 From my point of view, Apple Music really ruined playing back music on my iPhone. Playlists are jumbled, songs are jumbled, it is such a difficult interface that I have been using a 3rd party music player sometimes.
