Pfff, hype news. Microsoft had those soft layoffs for a decade already. Sitting concerned that your team may be axed. News didn't care to notice. It is this wave of 10s of thousands laid off that raised the attention.
The best is to work to yourself
When cities go broke, someone is making bank. Clearly, it is not us.
I had to pause and rewind at 7:06 again. “Interest on bonds is exempt from taxation”. There we go.
Whats common with all those cities listed were : Democrat run 😮😂😅
are you guys seriously comparing chinese EV makers with tesla ?
The future of entertainment is in healthcare, education and charity.
Idk I feel like a lot of people are using excuses to say that they don’t want kids. Kids are honestly not that expensive. If they were that expensive many people wouldn’t have them. I had my first kids after leaving the military and now have three kids. My wife doesn’t work and we moved south to a cheaper state to buy a home and now I work in law enforcement. We still take vacation and we still go on dates from time to time. Are there sacrifices yes. But kids are worth it! I just feel like people don’t want to make the necessary sacrifices.
yep its the long drip issue that kills ev as a serious option for me
You are corn 🌽
Land behind our house floods up to 3 feet. Rich white guy on our street owned the land, so he knew it flooded and was where the water held. It was supposed to become a lake in the 70’s. He decided he wanted apartments. I sent all my pictures of it flooding during Hurricane Matthew to the county council. It was finally sold to a church group who made a church on stilts and a raised parking lot while keeping the flood area open. Now I get to deal with noise Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, and weddings. Ugh.
But do we ethically have a right to feel entitled to a job? #questions
If price per sf is so different between premium office space and apartments, rather rhan give incentives to developers to convert to premium housing to make up the difference; why don't cities buy office buildings themselves and develop them into affordable housing? Theyre paying for the conversion either way, why not get what they really need? This would work better with office buildings with small office rooms, which may be older, so these projects could be a win-win.

Is ICE sales not struggling?
Experience is better than degree. I literally seen people with Masters Degrees not know how to look up the Setup log in windows. They probably did programming or cyber analysis but not Server Maintenance in School or Work experience. This is why just looking at degree is dumb.
I get pay raises every year and I make 150k a year, have a Pension, a company matching 401k and have been working at the same job for over 10 years!
Smarter certainly.
AI will replace these people anyway 😂😂😂😂
FAANG may not me dream jobs anymore. But jobs with Indian Governent is always a dream job especially in Maharatna PSU

This is the result of bean counting wallstreet taking over tech companies. May they should have never taken money from the hedge funds. Vision less imbeciles calling shots in the board rooms of a company or industry they know nothing about.
Google offered me a job, glad I didn’t take it
I don't believe anything they said...
I went through the tech boom on the 1990s in Seattle: lots of start ups failed.
I worked for google and fb during 2015-2020. Man, those were the good times! I feel blessed to have witness it
maybe the cities shouldn't have chased away their taxpayer base... morons
Snow mobile service has been retired this year. It used to be shinning and inspired in every service of aws cloud. Now it's no longer shinning. staff layoff , reduce cost. The days that thrilled me every day by touching aws service has gone.
I have started a Business. Just me. And now it will always be just me. I have figured out some ship that if a taught someone else I would be out of business.
By the way, the chart of corn prices at 4:32 is not adjusted for inflation. So I recommend that the people making it be paid 1950 wages. It shows corn at $2.16/bushel in 1947, (same as the price for a barrel of oil,) but using a GDP deflator, that's really more than $23 per bushel in 2023 dollars, more than 3 times higher than the highest recent prices shown. Really, 21st century prices are small fractions of the prices during the New Deal farm program years of 1942-52. (Oil has been in the $70-$90 range recently.) So the real prices go steeply down hill, not uphill, a huge distortion that is grossly unfair to farmers. Many other statistics of farm economics support this view. Returns on farm equity and assets have long been very low, (low single digits,) compared to agribusiness, (usually well into the double digits, even up to 20%, 30% ranges and higher. but they were much closer during those New Deal years. The video says little about how costs have grown, and how net farm income, (income minus costs,) has been so low. (In 2016, Iowa Net Farm Income was only 1/3 of what it had been during the parity years of 1949-52.)
Nothing seems stable nowadays. It’s chaos. Are there dream jobs left in America?
Because they accept Illegal immigrants.
What? Democrats run cities are broke? MUST BE TRUMP FAULTS!🤣😂 Keeps voting Democrat's policies and enjoy the fruits of your votes!
I hate so much that they keep say the economy is fine and so on like that's not the case for the rich yes this the best economy they ever had
18:36 TRUMP 2020 Why am I not surprised?
Theres no point working for these companies when they just lay you off for no reason to meet market earnings expectations.
Kraft Heinz products are trash and filled with nothing but poisons and cancer-causing ingredients.
But got money for illegals???
Nothing will last forever. It will get matured and saturated.
Agribusiness, in covering up the cheap, below cost farm programs that they got Congress to do, so farmers would subsidize them, used spin about being WTO compliant in the 1990s, with "decoupled" subsidies as the method. There, farmers got subsidies if they needed them or not. But then, for 7 years, with biofuel impacts, prices for corn, soybeans and rice rose above full costs, and the subsidies, with amounts not changing, were greatly criticized. So they developed a new spin, "risk management," with "revenue insurance," to make it sound like standard business processes. But with prices below full costs every year for decades, (with important crops even worse than corn,) no insurance company would offer that, nor could any farmer afford it. Nor would they insure against the lack of an adequate market management farm bill, which Congress did for decades. So, to preserve the illusion, to preserve the business-sounding spin, Congress subsidized BOTH the farmers and the insurance companies, and enacted hugely irrational programs, where risk wasn't really managed, but was increased. No one listens to the authentic farm activists, or the few great agricultural economists, like Daryll E. Ray at APAC.
This is the best strategy I've ever come across. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Enough tax is collected. The money is mismanaged, wasted and stolen by fake projects. We need to put all public funds on a block chain so we can track where it goes.
The dumbest of consumers
These are huge, hugely important questions. The video gets them wrong, because key information, (the biggest money issue by far, is omitted. The speakers represent the status quo, which is a corporate power complex view, an anti-farmer view. They likely do this because the rational approach that no one mentions is considered by them not to be politically viable. So why mention it. The true history is that the original farm bill was almost all market management, with supply reductions and minimum price floors, (similar to minimum wage floors,) not subsidies. USDA-ERS shows no subsidies for corn, wheat, rice, soybeans, barley, grain sorghum and oats prior to 1961 (and later years, depending upon the crop, such as not for soybeans until 1998). This worked well, with no oversupply problem 1942-52. It's needed, not because of the Depression alone, but because of 60 years of market failure prior to the depression, and it's been needed ever since and that's projected ahead another 10 years. Congress reduced (1953-1995) and ended (1996-2024) these core, non spending programs, reducing farm income by trillions of dollars. Subsidies were started along the way, but added up to much less than the reductions. How do farm programs inflate land values if the total or net picture is that farmers are paid less, (huge reductions plus smaller subsidies). Corn prices were below full costs (USDA-ERS) every year 1981-2006, except 1996, and then again, 2014-2020. So farmers massively subsidized feed for CAFOs/Agribusiness, and the US lost money on exports on these years of loss. In subsidizing CAFOs almost all farmers in Iowa and similar places lost all of their livestock, and therefore also lost sustainable livestock crops, pastures, hay and oats. So more corn and soybeans were grown. Again, the video tells none of this. I give sources in my videos/playlists. And corn has been the biggest farm bill loser, subsidizing consumers and foreign buyers, (as did the smaller subsidized crops).
I am currently burning through my 40s and This is no time to taper retirement savings. I want to max out my retirement funding and I also have another $200k in a savings account that i want to invest in a non-retirement account.Would it be better going to housing? Maybe own property and let it till im ready to move in at 65.
Research dividend aristocrats and choose six to ten firms with over 25 years of dividend payments. Also consider working with an asset-manager to build a strong portfolio.
A good percentage of people do not invest in the stock market because of lack of guidance. Every year you don't invest, you are falling behind. I’m hitting numbers in the stock market I used to dream of… now my dreams are getting bigger. Going from ($50k to $600k) is surreal all thanks to insights from a professional.
I thought gains like that are nothing but a pipe dream! mind sharing details of yourmanager please?
