GOOD MORNING AMERICA'S HOMEPAGE:
gma.yahoo.com/
I truly admire his patience. He basically answered the same question many times, over and over again.
At first I didn’t think it was that bad. Then I got to the 17 minute mark! Lol
Tim cook has amazing patience. I would have lost it and just walked out. This reporter is so annoying. you can see Tim Cook trying his best to maintain his composure.
Very impressive his mission keeping up the posture..
His job is to be annoying. And he’s doing his job well. He’s a good journalist.
This is one of many reasons I love Apple Products. 1.Security 2. If you’re a person that can’t remember your passwords, Apple’s keychain stores them for you
I agree with you Tim.
Same
+chuku531 Same
Of course, this is a big deal. Tim all the way
Go TIM!
Absolutely agree. Tim says wright things. Go Tim Go!
That's a very modest office.
Considering Apple is the world's most valuable company and Tim Cook is the boss, the fact he has a small office like everyone else speaks volumes. I think he may be the coolest, most down-to-earth person in the world.
anicetune creative people only care about creating for others, they dont care about showing off.
True, he is very humble lives in the same house he has for decades and is donating all of his money to charity, he says other than what he needs for his nephew's tuition thus not motivated by intrinsic reasons like personally rewarding work and service to others. Instead of flying around in a jet, he tweets about the hikes he has gone about in local woods.
anicetune yes he very much is
I think Tim and Warren Buffet would be good friends. Both men seem to live their lives in similar ways.
@@spencercarruth9706 I believe they are friends. Also Tim Cook has a much lower salary compared to other big companies considering how much Apple makes
This interview should be called "Watch how many times David Muir has to ask to ask Tim Cook the same question before he understands his answer"
How many fucking times do you have to ask a person the same fucking question. That is classic media manipulation. I love Tim Cook's care for our security and will "only" buy apple products while they continue to hold to these principals!!!!
got the same impression
+SURE SHOT Exactly where my head was. He didn't even reword it very well.
+SURE SHOT I like David Muir, but the way he conducted this interview is really gross. The suggestion that Mr. Cook doesn't have a conscience if he can sleep at night knowing he might have the ability to stop a future terrorist attack. Gross.
justmemadison Agree!
+taledarkside Actually, it was Bill Gates who stole from Steve Jobs in the early days after Gates was hired to do some programming for them. Then he modelled Windows on the Apple operating system. That's just one reason why Apple spent so much time and money suing Microsoft. They have a complicated history: it was also Bill Gates who bailed out Apple right after Jobs returned. Microsoft was really looking after their Apple software investment (aka Office for the Mac) by keeping Apple alive. But that's just business, and the two men had a deep respect for each other until the end.
Tim is a very well spoken man. He makes some very strong arguments for encrypting.
Why not ask him the question again David!??
I know, right?
Eddie Gebhard hahaha
for real. He asked me like 20 times
I dont own any apple products but I agree with Tim Cook 1 billion percent
definitely
Have never seen Tim Cook show such genuine passion. Have not thought much of him until this. I feel like I now understand why he's CEO of Apple. I think they need to find their way again with innovation, but Tim Cook is showing he's not a pushover.
Cook didn't get to this level of success w/ Apple by random chance, wearing top tier suits or having a good hair dresser. The man works, learns and makes Good Decisions. Every CEO in America ought to emulate him and we'd all be better off. He is a piece of work for all the right reasons. He has earned my respect.
I stand with Tim Cook and Apple 100%.
Great job Tim. 30 min of David Muir asking the same freakin question over and over.
David Muir: "What's your favorite color?"
Tim: "Blue"
David Muir: "So your favorite color is blue."
Tim: "Yes, I said that."
David Muir: "If I asked you what your favorite color is, would you say blue?"
Tim: "Yes...you goddamn repeating parrot."
Haha
哈哈哈
Li Xiaoqun 突然发现中文
In a paralel world would you say your fav color would be blue?
thumbs up for Tim, thumbs down for the interviewer!
Full support for Tim Cook and apple do not unlock that iPhone for the government
I know politics is not Tim's forté but if he ever decides to run for president, I would vote for him. It's too bad our current crop of candidates don't have this kind of passion and decency.
Best of luck, Mr. Cook.
+Randall Collins He would be accused of being LOW ENERGY
Yeah me too actually never contemplated it until right now
that 50% of Americans that want tim to write this software are probably old people like donald trump who know nothing about 21st century technology
you mean crooked hilary who probably sell the software to her arab sponsors
Mad Larry is just lonely.
Peter Bonde Hansen yea don't be so hard on the guy (pun)
@@rashidchowdhury9762 Insulting Hillary over Donald eh? didn't age well.
@@catcherintherye6479 Except that it literally did. The orange dumbass has 4 indictments and 91 felonies to go down for...that even you know of.
Tim Cook is right. Many forms of service, not just government.
Tim Cook for president
I bet you he will do better than many career politicians.
Colton Schmucker Hah Gay... oh wait...
Colton Schmucker yes the first gay president
Colton Schmucker lets ask Donald
@@RabbitConfirmed He is not married. For all we know, it could also be his answer for being not married.
Thank you Tim! It's amazing how many different ways you could be asked one question
I'm not an Apple user but I support them on this issue.
30 minute interview going over the same shit! These questions could have been done in 5 minutes.
and he imposes tim coke to repeat the same shit ... tim coke good one ... fuck fbi and obama
If Apple keeps these views I will always have apple products
topflightsolja agreed
It's 2021 and apple still care about people's privacy 🔏
@@wiishopchannel0175 2022 and they're only getting more secure.
This interviewer asked the same question a million times. I admire Tim because he was able to deal with this insistence answering the same answer a million times, maintaining the patience and politeness.
Tim Cook is a very well-spoken man, with incredible high integrity. He also appears to be a very honnest man.
If Tim Cook is inviting congress to decide whether to give the FBI what they want, I suggest everyone contact their congressman/woman and let them know what you think. Good for you Tim and taking a strong stance on this! I think you have won over many of the anti-Apple crowd.
I agree. I am going to wait to see how this plays out. I, for one, am willing to purchase an iPhone because of Tim and his resolve to what's right.
I love you, Tim Cook! sent from HTC m8
+Kenneth Stykket I also love samsung
what is HTC???
Red eyes?
Chewy sound when speaking?
Tim's high as fuck.
😂
true
+James Campbell grow up.This is more important than a mind the size of a pea could understand
+James Campbell He probably smoked some Sour Apple :D
+rob marx lighten up dude we all understand it's a serious issue. Nothing wrong with making a joke; during these times we all need to stick together so that our voices have a better chance in being heard when sticking up for our basic human rights.
I am proud of Apple for standing up to this ignorant badgering. This country was founded on the autonomous rights of its citizens. We only give up these rights if we give in to tyranny by remaining silent while being stripped of them.
Shout out to the MacBook at 1:58. Just chillin?
Does anyone know if this is an ABC News exclusive? The graphic is a bit ambiguous.
The reporter asks the same question over and over. I don't know how Tim didn't slap him.
I Stand with Apple
Jesus Christ!!!! I hated this interview because the Interviewer was basically trying to MAKE Tim say: "Ok, I'll do it" which he clearly, cristal clear explained why that'd be an extremely dangerous act towards america and society around the world.
I love the way Tim says “products” and “iPhone”😂😂
I wish i was a CEO you could speak your heart out
30 min for a question..
hats off for the patience of tim cook
David Muir literally repeatedly asked the same questions multiple times. Very redundant...must be frustrating for Tim Cook to repeat himself over and over.
I have much respect for Tim. He is right, it is a slippery slope handing over a master key to the govt. Trump is a joke, no one takes him seriously.
Horrible interviewer. Why is he asking the EXACT same question? Mr.Cook answered them with EXACTLY the same answer. This reminds me of Mr.Einstein quote" Doing the same thing and expecting a different result, is Insanity ". Im so happy to have leaders in business like Mr.Cook - that show courage and bravery to stick to their values - which I draw from for benefit of my business and community.
"But in your quiet moments..." in his quiet moments... you know... people like to keep those quite moments to themselves.
This video helps me sleep.
The reporter spent most of the interview with one topic.
I want to know more about other topics as well.
Much respect Tim
Great interview
Tim probably cleaned that office before letting David in. Thank you Mr. Cook for protecting our privacy.
Tim Cook is standing firm, I wish he remains in same way.
That is the reason why Apple is American №1 brand !
It's possible to have (or to find) this video with french subtiles ?
Pas besoin
4 LYRICS Pourquoi ?
The interviewer asked the same question 100 times 😂😂😂
Tim is right.
If you want to know who the terrorists contacted why can't you just contact the cellular company?!
+xoxoxo Or just check with the NSA?
ikr?
+xoxoxo He basically said they already have that information...it seems pretty easy with a warrant. But, they don't seem to be satisfied with the information. They screwed themselves by changing the pass-code. Too bad for them.
+justmemadison They didn't screwed themselves, They knew apple would ask them to back up iCloud, So they have asked to change the password (Just so they can make a case against apple and screws us over our privacy and 4th Amendment) No difference than what they did with 911 they staged it and then used it to go on war only to find out that there was no WMD in Iraq, But who cares corporations made big money didn't they? and We are now more vulnerable to all the bs, People need to dig into these
Thank you Tim Cook and Apple for standing tall for your customers!!
wow they did a very good job preping him for the interview!
The interviewer asks the very same questions again and again
Tim Cook is absolutely right! The DOJ and FBI are being very narrow minded in their approach. Im a British consumer and buy a lot of Apple products. Millions of Apples customers (most of which are outside the US incidentally) buy Apple because of their quality, their care and ultimately their culture of serving and protecting the customer. It means hundred of millions of people put their trust in their devices to store all their personal information. Other companies like Google, Samsung, Microsoft are famous for monitoring what people are doing, saying, watching, their location and make a tidy profit selling this data on, and I'm not surprised if terrorists (and its not just ISIS or Taliban but Terror states like Iran / North Korea) are already syphoning the internet for this data.
It is very sad of what happened to the victims, infact all victims of Terror related incidents, but the course of action that Apple is facing like Tim said has catastrophic knock on affects. Tim said that its a hot debate that should be discussed by the American people, the President and Congress. I disagree! This affects the many more hundreds of millions of people around the world and therefore this debate should be discussed at the next UN meeting and in the context of Security Counsel.
I sincerely hope that the DOJ and FBI see common sense and instead of fighting this case for what "might be" on this phone to work with Apple, with civil liberty groups, legislation organisations, and encryption organisations to explore further.
Because if they get this wrong and legally force Apple's hand to build this back door, I sincerely hope that those in question forcing this issue can answer the world when nearly a billion people have their financial data stolen that ultimately crashes the worlds banking system, causes Terrorist States like North Korea, Iran and many others to know every detail we have... Yes that is the extreme, but its a very possible extreme, and one Tim Cook and Apple are quite right in defending. #ImwithTim
This one humble American wants to thank you for standing up for us, the everyday person and our right to our privacy. Stay strong Tim Cook.
He literally asked what could be on the phone like he knew the guy 🤣
There's a key statement here that has resonated with me since I first watched this interview the day it was aired. At 12:46, he says "Somethings are hard, and somethings are right, and somethings are both." I apply that to so many things when faced with a multifactor variable.
that macbook in the backgroud looks a little fat for the new macbook im guessing its the new pro in space grey
+Richard Champness You good!
Awesome Tim
THE LEGEND
Tim was and is 100% right. Good for Apple.
very good Tim !
Good for Tim
I change my opinion. Actually I think, Tim Cook is the best CEO in the world. He is courageu.
I love Tim Cook.
Same questions were asked throughout the interview, just in different words.
Agree
Time stamp 17:23 For example, Microsoft made a backdoor for the NSA, and a bad guy created the WannaCry malware using that backdoor.
If Steve Jobs was still alive, the FBI would not have even contacted Apple. He is way too intimidating
ColtX Amen
did anyone notice how the apple logo on Tim's Mac changes throughout the interview?
World's most valued company's CEO' office. Very humble.
Me too.
He asks the same question in a different way and get the same result lol, Tim should of said to him interview over get the "F" out of my office.
I agree u Tim
Sacrificing freedom for revenge is like shooting yourself in the foot. I support Tim and Apple. We live in a civilized society, we have certain unalienable rights that we should never lay down.
Tim is so annoyed with being asked the same question for 30 minutes.
The ideology displayed by Apple through Tim Cook will probably gain a great deal of trust in Apple itself. Great boost to sales and consumer confidences towards cell technology. Bravo Apple and Tim Cook.
This is why Tim Cook is the greatest CEO, definition of visionary!
8:52 Shows the pure style in an answer
good for you Tim!
whats the password for your phone David?
Good work, Tim!
Tim Cook 2016
what happened to the Apple logo disabear in the back of the Mac PC at 03:17 03:35 it's came back again hehehehehhehe
class act...
I agree with Tim :)
This guy is great! A great leader
This is one of the moment when I gain respect for Tim.
I stand with Apple!
why is that water bottle behind the imac?
Tim Cook is a vary patient man.
Choosing between user privacy and security is a real problem. Kudos to Tim Cook for taking a brave and rightful stand.
Keep up the fight Tim. 100% agree with your stance.
The annoying thing about explaining technology is explaining it to someone who doesn't have at least the fundamental understanding of it. You put up so much effort to boil down the complexity of the issue, yet they still don't get the full picture of it - so they can only ask you the same question again and again
I feel like the interviewer only had 1 question on that paper and just thought hmmm ill ask it in as many possible ways I can ...the f**k lol
I am with Tim Cook on this one. You have the right to view your information and only you. It’s not right if Apple lets the government breach anyone’s phone for any reason because it’s a breach of privacy and morally wrong. We have the right to not be spied on being undressed by the government so why can’t we use our phone in private.
I'm with Mr. Cook on this. If they do write this your privacy is gone... whatever privacy there's left.
I agree with cook here, the risk is too great.
What happened to the apple logo in the back, it's in different shape very time, 4:15, 10:15, etc... , 5:00 ~~5:10 you can actually see the change. Is this a liege issue ?
I'm just here about the thumbnail. Tim looks like he's holding a fried chicken leg.
MY5TCrimson lol
MY5TCrimson chicken leg. I love it
