HX Stomp - FS4 Not Working (Plus Fix)

I usually use an external dual footswitch in conjunction with my Line 6 HX Stomp. And I recently found that the FS4 was no longer working although FS5 worked fine. I tried another TRS patch cable to connect the dual footswitch with the HX Stomp but theh outcome was the same. So I assumed there was something wrong with the external switch. I ordered a new one and was disappointed to still find FS4 not working.
It turns out that the problem lay within the HX Stomp itself and had arisen after I had updated to firmware update 3.15. In this video, we look at what settings get reset after the firmware update and how to set it correctly so that FS4 and FS5 on the HX Stomp external footswitch work perfectly.

That footswitch is a nice size.
I’ve been thinking of making an external dual footswitch that runs in though the midi socket. Have a couple of ins for expression pedals too on the same box. I’d use Arduino probably.

I too have a weird problem, using the same Ampero switch. I use Stome 4, but also want to use 5 as exp with a trs split cable
Problem is the swee starts at 0 then 1/2way goes to 10 then toe down is 0 again
AARRGG, any ideas?
