When I bought my 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport 4X4, before I signed on the dotted line I asked to through in all weather floor mats, tint my windows and install the rain guards for the windows, they did at no charge and I did the same thing when I traded that truck in for my 2020 TRD Off Road Premium 4runner. I ask for stuff before I sign on the dotted line, they wanna deal, so do I. I have always done this when I buy a vehicle.

That price is CRAZY! I'm considering a Taco for my next and perhaps final vehicle purchase. I currently have a 19 Ranger. Have always driven Ford's but I have always liked Toyota, their reliability and life range is top notch. You might ask why then do I still drive a Ford? They have been good to me! My wife drives a 17 Tacoma and it's not as comfortable as my Ranger. They are both good but I do agree Toyota is more reliable, even though I have had zero issues with mine.

Even the Frontier looks like a premium product in comparison. This will likely rot on the lots like the Tundras by years end. One of my pet peeves when buying a truck is no black fender flares, only color keyed ones. Black plastic is hard to keep from fading and doesn't look as good in my opinion. It probably doesn't matter as it's impossible to find any '24 Taco with manual and a 6 foot bed.
Underground does look good in direct sunlight. The dealer pics just don't do it justice. I feel like there will be some good after market upgrades coming to this truck.

Just because the idiots at TFL broke it, it does not mean that the new Tacoma comes with a bad transfer case. I believe the 3rd gen transfer case was made by Aisin, and I have no idea if they completely redesigned the transfer case for the 4rd gen Tacoma, but assuming it is still a part-time 4x4, I do not believe it is much different than the previous gen. i might be wrong, but TFL folks bought a brand new truck, drove it more than a 1,000 miles on the highway. They also towed a trailer with it, and then they off-roaded it in the desert, and towed again. They basically did everything that is NOT recommended while you brake in your new truck. If I were Toyota, I would not honor the warranty and let them pay for their stupidity.
